With the first presidential debate coming on Monday, Donald Trump has moved to a five-point lead over Hillary Clinton, his biggest advantage since mid-July.
The latest Rasmussen Reports weekly White House Watch telephone and online survey finds Trump with 44% support among Likely U.S. Voters to Clintons 39%. Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson earns eight percent (8%) of the vote, while Green Party nominee Jill Stein holds steady at two percent (2%). Three percent (3%) like some other candidate, and five percent (5%) are still undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

In the Gallup poll of voter ID its 29D 29R and 42% Indies. Trump has been winning indies by as much as 20%. That’s how the lefties skew the polls by sampling a minimum of indies.
The debate will be make or break for Hillary and any evidence of brain freeze, head bobbing, weird eye movements, shuffling to get to the podium etc.will end her chances. My bet is Hillary is sleeping in an oxygen tent, being shot up with a cocktail of vitamins and will be given uppers prior to the debate. She could well appear wired or doped up and could meltdown. Should be interesting
Can’t wait... that’s what will set records for audience viewership.
Yep, Hillary had a Bob Dole meltdown moment yesterday, like back in 1996 when he saw the polls and said to America “What are you thinking?! IF you’re thinking!”
Hillary’s “Why am I not ahead by 50%” is more subtle, but in a way much more arrogant. Dole never implied he deserved to be way ahead in the polls, nor did he call any voters deplorable.
He'd be well-served to get into PA and MI with an all-out effort to push the economic message, especially in PA, with Her Infernal Malevolence openly stating her desire to put coal miners out of work.
The “where’s the outrage” comments?
Right, now that I like. I especially like polls in states that are deep blue (WI, MI, RI, NH) that show Trump nipping at her heels. Even if she wins there, that sort of softening is a major factor in her support.
Well, gee, Scott, where do you think he is today? I mean, it’s not like Trump isn’t in PA every other couple of days.
Hope your wife is feeling better. Good that she wasn’t standing outside in all that rain.
Looking forward to watching Saturday’s rally on RSBN.
I’m giving serious consideration to voting in two states.

Well gee, Larry.. that’s great!
Guess which poll Murdoch News cited.
I mean, you make it sound like he doesn’t know PA is important or doesn’t spend time there.
Hmmm... the 7 point head to head spread.... did I get that right?
Right you are, sir. I mourn the death of Fox News.
Glad to see he does take it seriously... wondering if some visit to coal mining sites might help further though. The optics of a closed mine as a backdrop can be highly effective.
BTW.. noticed he broke the tie in FL ... gonna come down to the wire!
Yep, that’s about where I see the race at the moment.. and the 7% missing in the poll will break majorly Trump.
Election day I expect Trump in high 40s to low 50s... Hillary in high 30s to low 40s.
I really don’t think Hillary can put 60M votes in the box on Nov 8.
FOX Business is still solid
