If Donald Trump is elected U.S. President, the issue on the provision of lethal weapons to Ukraine could be unlocked and an option of arms sales with deferred payments could be offered, the former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Newt Gingrich, stated in an interview with European Pravda. Gingrich made the assertion response to the question on how U.S. policy toward Ukraine will change in case of Trump’s victory.
“We can say for sure that President Trump will unlock the issue on provision of weapons to Ukraine. Donald Trump can say pleasant things about Putin but in the meantime he will sell weapons to Ukraine,” Gingrich said. “It will be precisely selling and I think that the deferral of payments will be offered to Ukraine,” the former Speaker added.

We entered into an agreement with Ukraine that if they divested themselves of their Soviet era nuclear weapons, we would protect them in the event of a Russian incursion. Ukraine has every right to expect us to back them.
Ukraine suffered one of the worst genocides in history due to intentional starvation by the Soviet Russians under Stalin. The Holodomor was an artificial famine created by Stalin starving as many as EIGHT Million Ukrainian people.
Selling them weapons is the least we should do.

Exactly. NG shouldn’t speak for anyone but himself. No one should speak for Trump but Trump. Weeks leading up to the election are critical. Last thing we need is someone dropping a load of crap right about now.
It’s not helpful to winning the election for Newt to be doing this.

Selling weapons to Ukraine will only ensure that millions die instead of thousands.
Newt’s ability to stick his foot in his mouth has always been far greater than Trump’s.
