Police and other emergency services in New Jersey are responding to reports of an active shooter on Elizabeth Avenue in Linden in Union County, according to initial reports. There are reports of injuries.
The incident happened at around 10:45 a.m. ET on Monday when police were called for reports that someone was shooting at cars passing by in the 500 block of East Elizabeth Avenue, which is near the Linden train station.
Officers rushed to the scene and it is believed a suspect is in custody, according to initial reports. There are reports of injuries, including as many as two police officers, but there was no immediate on their conditions.
It was not immediately known whether the shootings are linked to the recent bomb attacks in New York and New Jersey, or whether it is linked to the manhunt for Ahmad Khan Rahami, who is being sought as a suspect in those attacks. The scene of the shooting is just southwest of Elizabeth.
Agreed.
Just statin'the facts, boss.
Camden is a crying shame. The neighborhoods used to be nice around the Campbell’s soup factory back in the 40s. 75 years of Rat rule and the place is post war Germany levels of infrastructure.
Another victim of islamophobia lashing out in a cry for help. Pushed over the edge by Trump’s campaign of hate and division. He’s entitled to an apology from Obama, monetary compensation and a free pass for 100 more of his clan to come to NYC.
So when he was on the run, on Monday morning he goes to sleep in the doorway(??)of a local business and when rousted by the cops, starts shooting at cars?
He is a diversion, for something.
I suppose he could be a diversion for a potential larger plot. Then again, he could simply be THAT stupid, or unconcerned. He did practically nothing to cover his tracks. Fingerprints left on the pressure cooker on 27th St, etc.
No evidence that this is Amish. Let’s not jump to conclusions/s
Mr. Swiss Cheese.
You are very right. These evil people are among us now.
But, but, but our president said there’s no linkage between the New York and New Jersey bombings. The fact they happened within hours of each other is pure coincidence.
It may have been a collaboration...
You mean...gasp!...Menonites, too?
“I thought Hoboken was the armpit of the nation”
A guy named Frank Sinatra would have taken umbrage at that remark! ;)
> the suspect is going to be asked a LOT of questions
If he’s been nationalized, he doesn’t have to answer any of those questions.
Kindof like how rejecTED didn’t have to answer NBC questions.
Not really.
New Jersey has so many “arm pits” that it is hard to name just one. Elizabeth. Newark - more like the ahole. Camden another ahole. Hoboken - used to be afraid to light a match because it might have blown up. I think it has cleaned itself up a bit. Trention - always a crap hole.
There are some nice places in Jersey (not including the Pinies and mafia burial grounds), but I don’t know which ones are still safe and clean.
Guess Chrispy Cream governor hasn’t made much headway in cleaning up the state, if that is possible.
You certainly can’t expect Shep of the pancake makeup to realize how absurd his thinking is, he is paid huge sums to express his insanity. He thinks he is the straight thinker and Trump is crazy. He is one big reason I don’t watch Fox news, to put such a painted clown up front discredits any claim they make to being “fair and balanced”.
Unbelievable?
Hussein Obama, America's FIRST Muslim President, is here to destroy America as we know it.
First, large numbers of "refugees" have to be let in to do their destruction and killing.
As their numbers rise, they will demand they be judged by Sharia Law.
As they become the majority, they will demand that YOU be judged by Sharia Law. By that time, you will have a prayer rug and worshipping Allah as they do. OR ELSE.
