Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said Sunday that its high time for Donald Trumps former primary challengers to come on board and support his campaignand suggested there could be trouble for them in 2020 or 2024 if they dont.
Those people need to get on board, he told CBS Face the Nation. And if theyre thinking theyre going to run again someday, I think that were going to evaluate the process of the nomination process and I dont think its going to be that easy for them.
Several of Trumps former Republican primary opponents, including Ohio Gov. John Kasich, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush have not endorsed Trump in the months since the GOP businessman secured the nomination. Asked explicitly whether that meant there would be penalties for the handful of 2016 Republican hopefuls who have not endorsed Trump if they opted to run again in 2020 or 2024, Priebus said nothing has been decided but that its something the party will look at.
All of the major Republican candidates, including Trump, signed a so-called loyalty pledge last summer stating that they would support the eventual Republican nominee regardless of who it is. The document wasnt legally binding, but candidates were asked to sign it last summer after Trump at the time wouldnt rule out a third-party bid if he lost the nomination.

Good... It’s about time. Especially Kasich, Cruz, and Graham
Boy is he slow on this.
Yeah!
Make it so!
Let’s see, make it that they can not ever run as a party member in an election again! Great penalty! Keep those socialist globalists in their communist party!
Yeah!
Don’t put it past Trump, especially if he wins, to go into those states and have a little fun stirring up the Primary process.
The NeverTrumpers are PLAYING WITH FIRE at this point.
Good. Thank you, Reince.
Am I actually starting to not hate this guy?
YES!!!! Especially those who wanted him to support the winner of the debates. Tell them to change parties, they are not needed, they are as useful as the celebrities who say they will leave the USA if Trump wins. (OH GOD, IF ONLY THEY WOULD!)
They’re already disqualified in my book. We have a nominee, fair and square.
Either quit the party or keep your promise.
The people are not stupid. They see what you’re doing and not doing.
Internal polling shows Trump WAY ahead. He’s even getting a significant part of the black vote.
Priebus is just going with the political wind. But I’m OK with that. For now.
Should have done this already, it’s almost October.
I have a feeling Kasich is going to be well taken care of. What other reason is there for him to come out with full throated Obamanation support? How many interests does Kasich have in all those ag companies, like Monsanto / Bayer, that will make fortunes?
Put Kasich at the top of the list.
Then, lay down the law on each that made the Hillary commercial cut.
Then hit those who are moving in the shadows.
...and Little Jebbie
No different that the scum of the old black Sox scandal, they are attempting to throw the game.
So they might gain a little something?
They are nothing more than traitors!
They have show their true colors... regardless of what Chairman Reince Priebus has said. They all have committed political suicide and their careers are over and cannot be revived.
I dunno, Reince. You’re a day late and a dollar short, as usual. We seem to be doing just fine without their endorsements.
Why give these Sorelosermen any more air time? Let them fade into oblivion with 0bama.
Has Rinse Pissonus said anything about Ka-Sick meeting with Obama.
Kick em out of the party and be done with them.
