New videos have surfaced of a Yale professor being protested and yelled at by students for sending an email telling them to ignore people dressed in offensive or racist Halloween costumes.
The fallout of the email saw Nicholas Christakis, the master of Silliman College at Yale, and his wife Erika, a faculty member, resign from their positions at the university.
The new videos, which appeared on The Federalist, give a greater insight into what the students were demanding from Christakis, and his defense that cultural appropriation on Halloween is permissible.
Many students in the mob of almost 100 can be seen crying and shouting in the clips, as they scream at Christakis to apologize.

So, let me get this straight:
Failing to stand at attention during the playing of the national anthem = exercising free speech.
Wearing a tasteless costume for Halloween = a threat to sensibilities and must be censored.
“Good. Let the academics die at the hands of the monsters they created.”

Aside from the general nonsense he spewed, there was this gem “[because you are who you are] you can never experience racism.”
I have news for that Jerk. The professor was experiencing racism right that very minute.
This is the scariest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Oh my goodness.
Dear Yale Profs:
Students in all of the liberal arts departments need lots more academic assignments and tougher grading. If you all stick together, your courses can’t be cherry-picked for easiness. Show them who is really boss on campus, if you dare.

I think this couple are some of the good guys. They were not “doing” anything, just emailed freaked out college kids that if the costume offends to look the other way. Because, its a COSTUME!
Condemning this couple for speaking sensibly is throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

The professors were standing up for free speech. I haven’t been able to locate information relating to the couple being liberal junkies themselves. They were attacked by this mob of students because they had the gall to defend constitutional rights of other students.
I like this professor being confronted by the monsters his kind creates and unleashes on normal society. It is very fitting that he cannot reason with the children, as it has been the function of universities to infantilize the students rather than preparing them to function as rational adults.
Have you found evidence that this couple are some of the leftist academics? I looked and haven't found information either way?
So they would really hate my idea of dressing up in a pompadour wig, white T-Shirt, jeans, a guitar, and a swastika to go as John Cougar Deathcamp.
Are they liberal? I tried to confirm one way or another. I just see from articles on this demonstration that they defended Constitutional rights. I dont see any articles about other Yale professors defending those rights. What if they were the last of the conservatives there?
