Dr. Henry Lee Revisits JonBenét Ramsey Case In CBS Special
Hartford Courant ^ | Sept. 15, 2016 | Roger Catlin

Posted on 09/15/2016 2:04:46 PM PDT by bgill

One of the biggest stars of the fall TV season so far is a 6-year-old child beauty queen who has been dead nearly two decades.

After three documentary specials have already been run (with a TV movie in the works), the biggest broadcast project, "The Case of: JonBenét Ramsey," airs Sunday, Sept. 18 and Monday, Sept. 19 on CBS.

In it, Connecticut's famed criminalist Dr. Henry Lee is one of a handful of original investigators of the case who have been reunited with a pair of new experts for the special to re-examine the death of the little girl in Boulder, Colo., on Christmas night, 1996, that has yet to be solved.

They didn’t disclose that part on the show I watched. Again, I HOPE the little girl gets justice; I’m just not sure that she ever will.

Burke Ramsey looks to me to be in the autism/Asperger’s spectrum and his inappropriate smiling is one giveaway. His emotional detachment is another as these people are narcissistic by their nature and they often have problems with empathy.

So asking a nine-year old Burke to draw a picture of his family and he includes only the living members of the family is the literally accurate answer to the boy and that’s what he drew.

It doesn’t mean he’s guilty of anything like people on this topic would care to believe.

Well, that indeed may be the case. Who knows???
That periodic, smirky grin on the boy’s face was just odd. The shifty eyes pushed my opinion over the top. Maybe he’s gaming for a book deal.

But, again, who knows???

I was reading through the case and watched the 3 part series this week.

I believe it was a family member.

The basement light was hidden, not in a normal place on the wall. Only someone familiar with the house would know where the light was.

The note 3 pages- the pen ink was linked to the pen in the house as was the paper

If an intruder, could have taken her out the back door that was near kitchen but instead, went long way through the house down to basement.

The wine door where she was found was hard to see and know it was even there unless familiar with house

The blanket she was found wrapped in was the one taken out of dryer per housekeeper. Patsy stripped her bed daily because JonBenet wet bed every night.

Someone saw like flash light (light) in kitchen that night

How did someone get JonBenet to eat pineapple? Intruder wouldn’t sit with her while she ate it.

Patsy wore same outfit from night before that morning- her friends said she never did that, wore same outfit from day before. Red and black threads were on the duck tape from Jons mouth. Patsy wore red sweater and black jacket that morning and night before.

Swiss army knife found in basement that the housekeeper sai she had taken from Burke and hid in upstairs linen closet near JonBenets bedroom.

Note found on back stair case which can’t be seen from living quarters of the house. Intruder would have used the main stair case leading upstairs from front door entrance.

With their daughters body laying upstairs, Patsy in living room with friends; John is in den opening his mail. Who does that with dead daughter laying in their house?

Patsy called 911 then called friends and neighbors who came to house. Who does that when ransom note said don’t call anyone we are watching the house or we will behead your daughter.

Just a few things. Burke ha hit JonBenet with golf club previously. It was either Burke or Patsy.

“... the corrupt officials were the biggest problem...”

I watched a documentary a few nights ago simply because I remembered this case (and how horrific it was). There was an investigator pulled out of retirement that proved several things I never knew about.. a man could get easily into the basement, a paint brush set that was used in the murder, boot tracks, and that the child had been injured with a stun gun. Most shocking to me was the fact the Boulder PD “fed” false info to the media with the hopes someone in the family would admit it. By the end of the documentary, I personally believe the PD ruined the remaining family and allowed a killer to go loose.

I saw that retired investigator climbing through window. But they were saying, if intruder, they would carry her downstairs and out the back door vs. winding through the house, down a hallway, to a door that opened weird, to the basement to take her out a small window that he would have to shove her body, dead weight up and through

Just doesn’t make sense an intruder would spend so much time in the house and go through all of that. You kidnap someone in a house, you get out fast, you have a note, already written and not a three page note.

It was a coverup in the family.

I’ve watched every show so far. The incompetence of the police was unbelievable, not sealing off the household and searching it themselves.

I’m of the opinion Burke had nothing to do with it. Watching the original tapes of him being questioned, he seemed like a normal, clueless kid. I would think he would have been highly agitated had he done it. His demeanor with Dr. Phil is very odd to say the least, but I think he is socially awkward or has some disorder.

The ransom note points to Patsy. Plus two pages of a practice note in the trash? Sounds like a cover-up. The theory that it was an accident with Patsy losing her temper makes the most sense, but after hitting JonBenet in the head, how could she make that garotte and tie it around JonBenet’s neck? Just sick. That’s how she died.

I don’t understand why they ruled the Santa Clause guy out. They said he was too feeble from a heart operation but JonBenet wasn’t that heavy. Has his DNA been compared with the touch DNA they found?

The scariest part of the Discovery ID documentary was John Mark Karr. This guy is creepier than ever!

Know it all Smit messed it up worse than the BPD. Remember, he didn’t arrive on the scene until March.

Smit is full of bs. It was already known that someone could get into the window. John had broken the window some months before coming in that way when he’d been locked out.

More Smit hooey. It was long known the paint brush came from Pasty’s paint kit in the basement. A sliver of wood from the brush had also been found near the kit and was in evidence. Smit did most of his work off of BPD evidence.

On Dr. Phil’s 3rd installment (to be aired next Monday), the boot print is supposed to be discussed with Burke.

http://www.acandyrose.com/s-evidence-prints-hand-foot.htm To summarize, the Hi-Tech print could have been left by anyone at any time prior to or after the murder. Burke and his friend, Fleet Jr., both had Hi-Techs. The cops wore them. The total stranger (one of this week’s shows discussed him) who died of a bullet to the head had a pair. Who knows how many of the other men who had been in the basement wore them. Did they ask the housekeeper’s husband/son? He’d been asked by Patsy to see about the broken window and he helped haul out the Christmas decorations. A repairman had been in there earlier. The Ramseys had workmen and decorators in and out all the time. We’ve never been told if it’s size would fit a man or child. The BPD would know but that’s something they’re keeping under wraps.

Something else Smit ran with is in a picture of the grate to the window, there are weeds under it. A policeman who first looked around the outside of the house said he’d lifted the grate and that’s how the weeds could have been caught in it. However, there’s undisturbed cobwebs in the picture so who knows. Smit also said a mark on the wall under the window could be from the intruder but he neglects to say it could be from John coming in the window or that it may be nothing at all. The wine cellar wasn’t used for wine, it was a storeroom. Stuff was scattered everywhere so anything could have made the mark. The housekeeper said she swept the glass up from when John broke the window but I haven’t read if it had been swept since. The print was found in mold so don’t know that sweeping would disturb it or not. Either way, Smit shouldn’t have hung his intruder case on it.

The BPD tried several stun guns and couldn’t determine a match. But the two dots do match the width between model train tracks. Strange that Smit didn’t say anything about train tracks, huh. I wouldn’t trust Smit to prove a jay walking investigation.

Feeding or leaving out important points to the public is par for any investigation.

He was 9 years old, and here he is, speaking for the first time 20 years later. Let’s assume for the sake of argument that he was not responsible in any way. He’s been subjected to his for most of his conscious life, he lost his mother to cancer in his late teens, his sister at her age 6, a national media circus/spotlight for a good part of that.

And what if he’s a shy guy, speaking before the cameras for the first time, in a semi antagonistic setting with Dr Phil, about very old and traumatic events 2 decades ago.

I wonder how many of his accusers would be comfortable in that situation. Shifty eyes and body language don’t make him a liar . . .or a culprit.

My theory: someone got mad at that little girl and hit her on the head with a flashlight that was in the kitchen.

*************

Agree, and IMO this is the most plausible theory. A childish fit of rage, probably accentuated by some form of latent anger, jealousy or resentment that manifested itself as a sudden outburst of violence. Maybe it was precipitated or had something to do with toys, or attention, or teasing? Whatever, something got out of hand and the panicked and distraught parents covered it up in such a convoluted way that it doesn’t make sense. And then the police botched things up further. So none of the pieces fit well together into a coherent story.

One thing in particular is very curious. The bowl of pineapple, and the fact that JBR had traces of the desert in her intestines, should have been a simple and easy thing for Patsy to explain. This was critical information with respect to understanding the timeline of events. But Patsy’s reticence to explain this suggests a cover up.

Well, well, well. Looks like ol’ Phil (can’t stand him and don’t watch him except for this) got into trouble and had to do some fast kissing up. I couldn’t figure out what the heck you were talking about “today’s show” but, you’re right, he dumped the scheduled show and threw today’s together. Lin Wood just happens to be his attorney as well as John Ramsey’s so smells like a Sunday come to Jesus meeting. He apparently did a 180 from Parts 1 and 2 because looking at his body language he wasn’t buying Burke’s story.

TV Guide schedule doesn’t mention anything about this new development and still has the originally scheduled show. Sneaky and underhanded but not surprising. Hey, Phil doesn’t want a law suit. You’d think Daddy would have signed off on Burke’s segments but something might have been slipped in in the screening room. Or he saw how the public is reacting to Burke’s happy smiles.

OTOH, all this might have been planned since John said this was his last interview.

I thought Phil was playing it too soft with Burke in Parts 1 and 2 by not following up on important points so he had to have been following strict guidelines despite denying it. But I’m now reading he was all Ramseys didn’t do it today. Hope it’s on youtube. Now am wondering if he’ll cancel the airing of Part 3 or it’s already being edited to tell the new improved approved version.

Watched a video of today’s show. It should have been titled, “The Lin Wood, High Paid Attorney at Law, Don’t Even Think About Saying Anything Against My Client - subtitle See Phil Kiss Butt Show.”

No matter which side of this that someone is on, they should at least tell the truth. But that’s what today’s msm do NOT do. They go out of their way to lie when telling the simple truth is easier and doesn’t harm anyone. Putting slime ball Phil back in the garbage can again.

speaking of Lin Wood....after the murder, he basically threatened anyone and everyone who would ever even hint that one of the Ramseys was guilty...it kept a lot of people quiet...
