That interviewer was awful. So unfair and unreasonable. No effort — no effort at all -— to help the voting public understand what kind of president (good or bad) Trump might be. Nope. She just wanted to “get him” on his charitable contributions or his tax filing (which isn’t even an issue for gosh sakes!).
So sleazy.
“She just wanted to get him on his charitable contributions”
A lot of people don’t know that much of his charitable giving won’t show up in his tax records because he doesn’t declare it.
When a guy stopped to help change a tire on Trump’s car/limo, Trump paid off the mortgage on his house. When regular airlines wouldn’t fly a child cross-country, he sent his personal plane to transport the family. There are so many of these kinds of stories. These are regular people, not 501c3 organizations; he can’t declare the money. It won’t be reflected in his IRS filings.
He does it because it’s the right thing to do, and he doesn’t discuss it. THAT is “real” charity.
Having to compete with the Clintons’ donations of Bubba’s used underwear must be a terrible challenge. :)
