Justin Cooper, who helped set up Hillary Clintons private home email system, testified Tuesday before the House Oversight Committee and admitted that he had no national security clearance during the time he had access to all of Hillary Clintons emails while she was Secretary of State.
Cooper, who was a former aide to President Bill Clinton, said I did not have a security clearance while setting up and servicing Hillary Clintons private email server, laptops, and mobile devices.
Coopers confession came during day two of the Rep. Jason Chaffetz-led Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing. Chaffetz issued a subpoena to top FBI official Jason Herring on Monday for every document related to the bureau's investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server while she was Secretary of State.
During Tuesdays hearing, two employees of Colorado tech company Platte River Networks the firm that maintained Clintons private home server repeatedly invoked their Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination.
Who told you to delete the emails? Rep. Chaffetz asked Paul Combetta of Platte River Networks about Clinton's email server.
On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer and assert my Fifth Amendment privilege, Combetta said. Combetta was reportedly granted immunity by the Department of Justice during its investigation of Clintons mishandling of classified emails while at State.

Let me add to the above that there is no doubt that the Dept. of State has virtually the same rules for its employees and private contractors as does the Dept. of Defense.

When did her server become classified? If it didn’t why not?
“Is that an understatement? “
One of the secrets on a program I worked was the project code name. Coming out of the secret area into the white world and walking towards me was the chief engineer. He was on his way to another black world area where we had hardware. He had picked up a stack of notebooks without noticing that the bottom one was the candy-striped red and white document with the code word and emblazoned “Top Secret.” There was nobody else in the hallway and I had a good view for a long way. I stopped him and briefly chatted, not wanting to scare the pants off him, I said, “Did you mean to have that out here without being in a sealed envelope?”
“What?”
“The secret document?”
He started jumping around like his feet were on fire. He was so panicked he had no idea what to do. He threw down his regular notebooks and tucked the red and white one under his arm like a football and this sixty year old man sprinted back to the air lock like he was being shot at. I would not be surprised if he wet himself.
Yes, people with clearances take their responsibility very seriously.
Nobody who had no right to know something would find out from anybody I worked with. We were under orders to challenge anybody in the classified area that we didn’t know. There was this awesome looking man with no badge walking around in there one day. He looked like he could have played a lineman on a professional football team. I stopped him and asked to see his badge. He said, “You have no right to stop me and pushed me aside.” I weighed about 130 at the time. I yelled at the top of my voice, “Uncleared personnel in the area.”
The program manger came sprinting out of his office and people popped up from their cubicles. With a huge grin the man pulled out a set of FBI credentials, plus the badge he was supposed to display in our area. He held them up and said, “I have been walking around in here for nearly 40 minutes. I have spoken to almost all of you and nobody, except this young man has challenged me. We are going to talk about this.”
Serious as a heart attack.
How can this nitwit invoke the 5th??
There was nothing ‘secure’ about Hillary’s clandestine ops server.. It was all about the money.
Traitors all.
Which begs the question, who else on Clinton’s personal staff was operating freely in the WH without a security clearance? God knows who or how many islmasts are there now operating with unfettered access.
hang um
No, we are not. That horse left the barn.
In the video clip, Cooper testified that emails sent to Hitlery’s Apple server bounced immediately to her Blackberry and were NOT retained on the server.
Sounds like intent to hide everything from the State Dept. and FOIA scrutiny.
The Islamist, Huma Abedin, comes to mind....she had access to the White House and the State Department and goodness knows where-else.....going way back in time....and maybe she still does have the access.
Wherever Hillary goes in the halls of government, Huma is usually always right behind her as her aide.

OK- Immunity canceled. Bailiff-Lock him up. I thought that was how it worked.
Right. I have never hear of an Immunity agreement that leaves you with your 5th amendment right.
FWIW - I have had a TS/SCI clearance since 1985. I have done work for DoD, FBI, and NSA.

The real concern should be who removed those markings -- and how.
This IT guy shouldn’t have needed one. She wasn’t supposed to be keepinng that data on that server. He shouldn’t have had any expectation that she would store that data there, because it is illegal.
Lol. As if the GOP would do that. That's cute.
This goes beyond just the person setting up the device. The server and computing devices themselves along with communications systems must be designated to be able to accept, communicate, and send classified data. The building and facility must also be set and properly approved. All computing devices put out radio signals that can be intercepted. You park a clandestine vehicle with equipment that can intercept those signals they can even pull data off of an active terminal screen. Most all buildings with classified material in them in electronic format have perimeters, fences, gates, etc... that set and test the limits of transmissions to be sure no body can ease drop. In a past life I have accompanied National Security teams testing our building on base to be sure no data could be intercepted from outside. If you failed the test you could no longer transmit or handle secret data unless screening and filtering could prevent leaking transmission or you extended the security fence. So it is not just the person. Obviously this does not apply to CIA and or secret undercover operations and operatives. It does apply to Hillary, her staff, her computers, her residence if it was transmitting data unencrypted broadcast in the clear from unsanctioned improperly vetted and insecure transmissions and locations. Improper, illegal, immoral, stupid, treasonous, disastrous, criminal actions.
