It took me for-EVER to get myself off of the Filet-O-Whatever-Kind-of-Fish-This-Is sandwich at McDonalds. I swear, they put crack in that thing!

We’ve been doing the low-carb diet and just basically BEHAVING ourselves since the beginning of the year. 12# off for me and 10# for Beau - but he CHEATS!

Just remember: The Whiter The Bread, The Sooner You’re Dead! However, I’d pretty much trade Beau for a loaf of good Sourdough these days! ;)

I like the McD fish sandwich also, but eat them only occasionally. Just often enough to realize they keep getting smaller, and smaller, and smaller...

I know! That is all I eat there.

I was in Bahrain for a year, when they opened a McD’s there, the first day they opened we stood in line so I could get a fish sandwich and fries.

I felt like I had been on a desert island without a fish sandwich for a year. Because I actually was.

Just FYI. If you are not eating bread because of the proteins, and the high glycemic load, you may be interested that *real* sourdough bread is quite healthy. The problem is finding real sourdough bread. Most is just ordinary white bread with citric acid added. Even most sourdough bread that is actually fermented is not fermented long enough to get rid of all of the bad stuff. But some bakeries do sourdough correctly, and may be a good option. Certainly better for you than regular bread (whole wheat or otherwise).
