...Be more open, show your soul, focus on the economy and talk about blue-collar jobs.

One, I believe if Clinton has a soul, it is blacker than midnight on a cloudy moonless night. I really don't think anyone who is pro-Hillary wants everyone else to see more of her.

As for focusing on the economy, that's not going to work either. Hillary was part of the bammy administration, and her economic outlook, plan, and policies closely mirror his. Regardless of what the cheerleading MSM may shovel, out here in the real world we all know the bammy economy sucks.

...Democratic lawmakers see as the need for Clinton to improve in certain areas...

"Certain areas?" How about across the board!? I can't think of one single area - other than maybe rampant criminality and getting away with it - where Clinton could not improve. She's a walking/stumbling disaster on any issue, any topic you care to name. There are scandals, failures, and not a few literal bodies scattered in her considerable wake.

They struggle to reconcile the charismatic, warm and funny woman they know in private with Clinton’s public persona...

You've got to be kidding. Sorry pal, this whopper ain't going to fly either. We've all heard/read far too many stories from insiders, USSS, etc. that say in private Clinton is even more of an evil, vindictive, walking horror show than she is in public.

Democratic senators say it’s natural for Clinton to put up her guard because she has been the target of Republican attacks for decades.

Wrong conclusion, again, but then what do you expect from 'rat Senators - if they were competent and truthful they wouldn't/couldn't be 'rat Senators. She's been the "target" of scrutiny and efforts to bring her and her cohorts in crime to justice for years. I'm sure she feels like they have been attacks because well, they are - attacks against a massive criminal enterprise, the kind that would make even Don Corleone envious. What I would expect is that decades of experience should equip her to handle this kind of thing deftly. The fact that she apparently isn't is indicative of her failing health and mental faculties. There's no-doubt no small part of crocodile tears and weak attempts at sympathy too. But really, sympathy for Clinton? At the helm of a crime syndicate that has laundered over a billion dollars? Sympathy for her and her lifestyle? I don't think so.

At the helm of a crime syndicate

I love how Rudi continues to educate the voters about the abudunt evidence of the need for a R.I.C.O. investigation, indictment and prosecution. He seems to have educated DJT along those same line.

The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, commonly referred to as the RICO Act or simply RICO, is a United States federal law that provides for extended criminal penalties and a civil cause of action for acts performed as part of an ongoing criminal organization.

With regard to “improving in certain areas”, even her most lap-doggie sycophants are hard pressed to name her lifetime accomplishments. Vaguely, they say, she has helped children, though there is no evidence. She was fired from the Watergate counsel, for lying, she failed her DC bar exam, HillaryCare was a disaster, she had no significant legislation as senator and as sec of state she left Libya and the rest of the Mid East in political tatters. Her only significant accomplishments involve self-aggradation.

Others have mentioned the fact that, the more the public sees her, the lower her numbers go. Her handlers know this, that’s why there are no open press conferences and all public appearances are highly scripted with toady pressers in the audience.
