I was thrilled for England. My mother was from England and I used to read a lovely magazine called This England for years. It grieves me to see the swarms of muslims parading through the streets over there.
Hi Judy!
I was also thrilled for England.
England has always been a special country for me. My dad was in the service and stationed there for a few years when I was little. I haven’t done an ancestry check, but as I understand it, I have a fairly large English heritage on my dad’s side of the family. I enjoy stories about the English royalty - I watched Diana’s wedding and, sadly, her funeral as well as Kate and William’s wedding. Their little ones are so adorable. I sure hope Trump wins so we can put some class with he and Melania back in the White House.
I think it’s great that England is paying for a wall in Calais, France to keep the Muslim migrants out. It’s too bad there are so many Muslims there as I’ve read that they are changing various areas in London.
I too have a ancestral connection to England and was soooo Happy for their freedom, the people spoke.
My maternal grand-mother was from England.
My mom was just 15 mo. old when she died during the “Great Flu Pandemic of 1918” at the age of 26.
So needless to say, we never heard her story and how she arrived in the US.
I’ve dabbled in genealogy for years and have had my DNA tested. Am so proud of my British heritage. Hubby and I have visited a few times and the architecture is beyond belief! St. Paul’s, Hampton Court, The Tower, Westminster Abbey..... not to mention The British Museum...... oh man I’m ready for another visit and did I mention we have a photo album dedicated to pubs!!
