Holy cow! Do not know what that means... ?
Any thoughts?
One last thought. Here’s a tourism slogan:
“North Korea: Come for the starvation; stay for the torture!”
Seriously, that is odd. Maybe they don’t even allow planes to land there?
Where is Mathias Rust when you really need him?
28 May 1987 ... Mathias Rust, 18, lands a Cessna 172 in Red Square ... Said he wanted to build an imaginary bridge to the East.

LOL!!! Mine, too.
And in a way, that is quite sad. One of my best friends in high school was from Korea (South). I am too tired to research and comment on the history (should not even be awake now), but it is a shame to see a country ripped in half.
You ponder; “Just asking, I have no idea, but was wondering if flights are diverting around NK airspace.”
North Korea is not part of the civilized world
Its just North Korea - Here it is from space at night...

This picture is at least a decade old. Nothing new at all. They can’t sustain their power grid and hardly anyone has functioning electricity over night.
All you need to do is Google “North Korea at night from ISS”
It probably is always like that. Who wants to fly into the country, and what airline would be crazy enough to route a flight over the country?
Probably so. I was on a flight from Newark to New Delhi a year ago. It passed north of Norway on the great circle route, which also passes over the region of the Ukraine where the Russian shot down a passenger airliner last year. When we got near this area, the airplane took an abrupt right turn, avoided the dangerous air space, then turned back to the path to New Delhi. This departure probably added an additional hour to an already very long flight.

No radar data a available for that area.
