Donald Trump clearly won the Commander-in-Chief Forum tonight sponsored by NBC News and the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America. .
Once again, Hillary Clinton was caught in lie after lie and was put on defense after the first question from the audience.
The left was very upset with Matt Lauers performance in that he did not destroy Donald Trump.

In defense of us geezers, remember there was no internet in Cronkite’s time.
...
Even so, Archie Bunker called Cronkite a commie and so did a lot of other people.

Anyone running for the highest office should be able to answer difficult questions. This forum and the upcoming debates are a cakewalk compared to being President.
...
I guess Obama is the exception that proves the rule. He’s lost without a teleprompter.

Good news that the media are sufficiently warned by the candidate that he will not take abuse. Good news that Lauer is capable of such balance.

I think the DEMS winning streak is coming to an end. And not a minute too soon. We barely have a faint image of what our country once was....and our families arr barely hanging on.

It wasn’t from a lack of trying!!

I think that is one of the reasons he was so brash in the run-up to this point. He made it perfectly clear that he will not allow them to bully and browbeat him. Since they KNOW this, they are going to have to try a different approach.
I think that is why Matt wasn't "attacking" Trump, but he was being rude and cutting him off. I think Matt was hoping that his not-so-subtle methods would get under Trump's skin and he would have a meltdown or something. It didn't work.

Hillary Clinton was allowed to filibuster the entire process. She was barely interrupted in her long, rambling, incoherent, memorized sections of various speeches. I'm thinking she got like 4 question from the audience, and maybe another 4 from Lauer.
Trump, on the other hand, probably fielded 6-8 audience questions, and it was a constant barrage of Lauer. Lauer interrupted, interjected, disagreed, and condescended to Trump the entire event.
hilLIARy added another lie to her many. ALL classified info she was responsible for, she said, is that which has a banner at the top that says “Secret”, “Top Secret”, etc.
That's simply false. She is responsible for ANY classified material, marked or unmarked.
Moreover, since she's using unsecured, personal servers and multiple communication devices, that would enable anything passing through her channels to be intercepted. And she herself claims that the Russians were intercepting/attempting to intercept other servers on which she participated besides her own.
And Comey didn't say she had not been hacked. He said that was up in the air whether she had or not. She, on the other hand, swears the Russians are hacking anything with a pulse.

Typically, your interviewer/etc... sits on the right side as a show of prevalence. Like most talk show hosts sit on the right, while their guests are to the left.
It is an old showbiz theatrical trick: main characters/victors would typically exit stage right, lesser characters/losers would exit stage left.
The sitting on the right or left was probably dictated by Trump. Probably against the wishes of Lauer. Just my guess.

He was trying to appear to be centrist. To the right of Hillary and left of Donald.

He had to sit to the right of Clinton in order that her earpiece in her left ear wouldn’t show up on camera.
