A large percentage of those assigned to confiscate the weapons will resign and join the resistance. More than one governor will defy orders and give legitimacy to armed resistance. It would be very ugly. I would not want to be one assigned to confiscate. You would live in constant fear of the 300 yard shot.
Some Arkansas Sheriffs have said that they would simply deputize every citizen in the county, starting first those with CCWs, and thus every law abiding citizen would full under LEO exemptions.
