Boy I am starting to consider myself lucky for moving to the school district I am in.

My kids stood and recited the pledge every morning, some lucky student was selected each morning to read it over the PA, the school music department had a CHRISTMAS show inside a local church AND they sang religious songs. The music teacher was outstanding and threatened to quit if they EVER told him what songs he could do.

Yes, Christmas was celebrated each year in our schools with Christmas assemblies. In our communities with a Living Nativity. No matter how cold the evenings might be in Texas, the community came together to celebrate the birth of our Christ our King We were unashamed in participating in the celebration, and looked forward to doing so again the following year. To now look back and see how such traditions have been so changed, is heartbreaking. Not in our country! This cannot be!
