well. I got polled last week, and I confirmed I would vote for state republicans, but refused to say I would vote for Trump.
So there is that. But the win last night for McCain was very disheartening.

My head tells me this “hidden vote” for Trump is just wishful thinking but my heart fervently hopes it’s true.

100% anecdote.
Connecticut Senate Candidate stumping in heavy Dem urban section of his district. Goes to door with Trump sign, and as he is allowed to place his sign next to the Trump sign, four neighbors came outside, all saying how much they like Trump.
Again, completely anecdotal.

I think Trump will clobber her Royal heinous. But I also don’t think I’ll yell it from the hilltops. After McCain and Romney I’m cautious.

Support for Trump has been so vilified so often in so many ways that there are bound to be more than a few...perhaps even many...who wouldn't admit to supporting him. There are,in fact,a number of people to whom I wouldn't admit it.Also,as much as I'd like to have a Trump bumper sticker I probably won't because of fear of damage to my car.I've had my car damaged numerous times because of bumper stickers but that was back when I drove "ordinary" cars.Recently I've had cars that are a cut or two above "ordinary".
Am I a coward? Maybe. But the point is that *nobody's* ashamed to admit support for Hillary (although they should be) while at least some are reluctant to admit (but not ashamed of) supporting DJT.

Given that the national union leadership is pretty much out for sHrILLARY, were I a union member receiving a random phone call there would be no way on God’s green erf I would tell them I was a Trump supporter. Who knows if the union was counting heads via a faux poll and I might never work again.

Why would someone fear criticism from a pollster? I don’t get it.

I live in a very liberal California county. I was surprised to hear a male librarian ask another liberal looking old gal if she was voting for Hillary and she said " Oh no, I would never vote for a Clinton."
Haven't seen any Hillary bumper stickers either.

Trump’s monster vote isn’t enough to overcome Hillary’s dead/illegal alien votes.

If polled, I would say “none of the above,” or “someone else.” And then I’d vote for Trump.
I think I describe millions out there.

Besides getting your car or yard trashed, if you identify yourself as a Trump supporter, you might get egged:
Or you have to run for your life.

I have a decal, I have a hat, I have a bracelet, I have a shirt...and I do not wear or show any...
I am a 100% Trumper, I work on his campaign, and am very active here in Utah, but I would not dare show any signs of Trump, my car would get smashed, the apartment complex won't allow any advertisement of any kind, and if I wore the shirt and hat, someone would TRY to kick my butt, and I don't feel like hurting someone right now, so I don't wear them...
That's just the way it is with Trump...and those that don't let people know, that's ok, we know they are there, pulling for Trump just as much as those that go out with Trump apparel on...
Isn't it funny, We keep Trump quite, but Hillary supporters, who is the biggest crook that walked the earth are out there pointing fingers and yelling like idiots...and we Trump people are quite, and reserved, just biding our time to pull the level for Trump...

I've been pretty quiet about politics in general this campaign, mostly because some people, who are normally good and decent people have completely lost their minds when it comes to Trump. I think it shows how much of a herd mentality there is, and how social media can affect the way people act.
It's been easier for me to simply say that I'm not really paying attention this year, and probably won't vote.
I have no idea if anyone else is taking that approach, but it's just not worth the aggravation to get involved in political discussions these days.
To: usafa92
So they told pollsters what they wouldn’t tell pollsters.
