It is expected that Trump advisor and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, RNC Chairman Reince Priebus and Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, along with high-ranking Mexican officials, will attend the meeting.
Officials expect the two leaders to make some statement following the meeting, but do not expect a full press conference.
The trip is particularly historic for Trump in that no previous non-incumbent presidential nominee of a major party has ever travelled to Mexico as part of his campaign.

” So, tell me how those border controls are working on your southern Mexican border ...”
It might be breaching a role officially in the domain of the Executive Branch. On top of that, if he were assassinated, there would be little recourse.
Hillary was also invited by Mexico’s president.
Is that you Glenn?
I think it is an excellent move. Stop with the tunnel vision . Trump is way ahead of the game. He is molding things to his advantage....sounding the waters and he has some powerful people with him in Sessions and Rudy. When it comes time to negotiate, he will be in the driver’s seat. He’s not campaigning IN Mexico, he is campaigning FOR AMERICA’s FUTURE and Mexico is only the first step.
In my opinion, very dangerous for Trump to visit Mexico!

Trump is not a pussy which Obama has proven to be. Get used to a MAN running things again and to America getting off its knees and back on its feet.
Trump is stepping forward. Isn’t that what you advocate? High time we had a leader who assumes a leader’s role. Trump is it!
You are totally blind! The president of Mexico made a lot of ink in the press screaming about Mexico would not pay for the wall. NOW he is asking to speak with Trump and Trump is acting on his Art of the Deal as a LEADER of the U.S. He alone made the breach in the wall and he alone will champion our cause. It is going to be very nice WINNING again.
Hes doing the peoples business. Setting up his program, then he returns to Phoenix for yet another, biggest, most-watched speech of the campaign, Hillary is a big nothing. Trump is setting up policy.

I totally agree and he has a couple of his future cabinet members with him.
This shows that the Mexican president is on bended knee. HE sees the handwriting on the wall.
A brilliant move, even more impressive that he could pull it off. Sets up his speech tomorrow night, hes the only newsmaker running. He has state meetings while his sick opponent stumbles getting out of cars. What a Labor Day weekend move.
Hillary who?
............................................
i totally agree. Trump has now assumed the mantle of the Presidency!
So far Trump has spent almost ZERO ad dollars compared the the DNC and Hillary tens of millions.
Given Trump's stand on Mexico and the wall I highly doubt that is within the realm of possibility. The Mexican president's approval ratings are in the tank. He is probably looking at this as a way to disagree with everything Trump has been campaigning on regarding the wall, trade, and illegal immigration and look strong to the Mexican people as a result.
Yeah I think that ship has sailed.
Thanks for the post.
I have no problem at all with this visit.
We will only know more when its over with....not before.
GO TRUMP!
In the first place, Mexico reached out the hand and not vice-versa. In the second place, the Mexican president's approval ratings are in the mid-20's so actually he could be looking at this as a chance to stand up to the big gringo Trump and make himself look good in the process. In that respect politics down there aren't a whole lot different than politics up here.
Mexico is our second largest trading partner and the biggest source of both legal immigrants and illegal aliens. We also share a 3,000 mile border.
Brilliant move by Trump.
Trump is going to talk about trade, national security, the border, and immigration. Among those accompanying him will be Jeff Sessions and Rudy Giuliani.
I think it’s brilliant. He shows he can face those that are against him. He isn’t campaigning, but rather having a conversation with the President of Mexico who can’t stand Trump.
Hillary is left in the dust with her mouth hanging open.
Next move........
