The states gave up control of their own elections with the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Most states were fine with it since it applied to mostly southern states.

This power grab is about DHS declaring that due to hacking, the result is indeterminate. That would throw the election into the House where Hillary will be selected. Kaine will immediately resign and Hillary will appoint Mitt as VP.

As part of the deal, she will agree to let the Pubbies nominate Scalia’s replacement (of course, she’ll soon have 2-3 of her own, which the Pubbies will agree to confirm).

If they do this, and they’d better never plan to leave DC.

It only applied to Southern States. Ted said it wasn't needed elsewhere because they weren’t racist like the South was.

To you point the Supremes have overturned every State Voter ID they could after saying it wasn't discriminatory.
