A group of soccer hooligans in Poland torched effigies representing Jews and displayed banners calling for Jews to be burned in a shocking display during a match last Friday, according to local media reports and a global anti-Semitism watchdog. The incident occurred when dozens of fans supporting the Widzew Łódź side rallied against the town rival ŁKS Łódź, which is often derided as "Jewish" by opposing teams' fans, in a similar fashion that the British team Tottenham Hotspur is regarded.

Seriously, Poland?
Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeriously?
One of Hitler’s huge mistakes was that he didn’t take into account that antisemitism was strong in Poland 1935 - 1939, and that it would have been better for the Nazis to make Poles their allies instead of their enemies.
Disgusting, and disturbing. Where does this come from, especially in a country in which Hitler set up Auschwitz?
I didn’t realize that Jewish “infiltration” was such a large problem in Poland /s
They’re probably getting stoked up by some politician looking to get traction in the easiest possible way - feed ethnic suspicion/envy/hatred.
Antisemitism in Interwar Poland 1919-1939
That just scratches the surface. Poland has a long history of being antisemitic and by that I mean "someone who resents and dislikes Jews" rather than the current interpretation of the word which is often "someone Jews don't like".
Hitler actually admired Pilsudski, who he credited with saving Europe from Bolshevism. He imagined Poland could have been a potential ally, because of Pilsudski's hatred of all things Russian. But wisely Pilsudski knew how dangerous Hitler was. Also Pilsudski was very tolerant of Jews. When he died, the Nationalists, headed by Dmowski gained power. They were much more anti-semitic, but hated the Germans with equal fervor, which is why there was no way Hitler would make a deal with them.
Interesting tidbits. Hitler attended a memorial service for Pilsudski when he died, and he made sure an honor guard was posted at Pilsudski's grave when the Germans invaded Poland.
Poland is far from alone in this.
Same thing happens in England whenever Tottenham Hotspur play, they are known as the “Jewish Club” and their own supporters call themselves the “Yid Army.”
Ajax Amsterdam is another “Jewish Club”.

There is something seriously wrong with the Polish people.
Some Polish people. But anti-semitism is a European National Pastime.
Yet another success for the antisemitic wing of the progressive left. I’ll bet Obama is celebrating his latest victory.
Unfortunately, among some, this is true. It really irritates me when Europeans talk about America being a racist country, when racism, anti-Semitism, and sexism are a bigger problem in large swaths of Europe.
The “hooligans” in PL are usually very nasty skinheads. They call them hooligans. They often beat people they don’t know for fun.
This. The US is the LEAST racist country on the planet, and it isn't even close.
While there were Poles who tried to save the Jews during WWII, there were many Poles who turned them over to the Nazis. The Jewish minority is growing in Poland and that is bringing out more anti-Semitism.
Consider though of all the occupied countries, Poland was the ONLY occupied country where aiding a Jew in ANY manner, resulted in an automatic death penalty for that person and their entire family.
Skinheads, huh. Someone should point that out to the BLM crowd that plays the knock out game for fun.
