Washington (CNN)Maine Gov. Paul LePage left an expletive-laced voicemail for a state lawmaker that goaded him to "prove that I'm a racist" after a series of controversial comments once again put the governor in the news.
LePage left the message for Democratic State Rep. Drew Gattine on Thursday, according to the Portland Press Herald, which also was the first to obtain audio of the voicemail. The uncensored audio message, also shared with CNN, contains several explicit phrases. The bombastic Republican governor is known for his loose style, which sometimes draws criticism. He is a strong supporter of Donald Trump, and Trump's campaign recently hired his daughter to work on the race in Maine.

I can understand how a Socialist can annoy the @#$%^&*! out of you, but For Pete’s Sake...
Quit. Taking. The. Bait.
Everybody should do this as a way to resist the politicians allowing it. They care about votes they do not get too.
I have a question about the made-up word “racist”.
Governor LePage said that most people arrested in Maine for drug-dealing are black or Hispanic. (He actually said, “over 90%”). Maine is the whitest state in the nation.
Now, it seems like that would be pretty easy to fact-check. Either it’s true, or it’s not true.
If it’s true, how could it be “racist” to say it?
Thanks for posting this. Pistols at dawn. The only way to deal with the repulsive Democrat politicians. I nominate Sarah Palin vs Debbie Wasserman for the first duel. :)
amazing how the left always posts emails they want out. killary’s............not so much.
The sad reality is that the Governor is correct. A grossly disproportionate percentage of violent crime is perpetrated by men from those two groups. The failure of Obama to acknowledge this is why black urban crime has escalated under his watch. Instead of dealing with the underlying problems he blames whites and the police and makes it easier for people to avoid responsibility. Obama has set back the plight of black Americans by a generation.
As the libtards say:
Truth to power or something like that...: )
To accuse someone of being a racist without any evidence to back it up certainly deserves a beatdown...
A few curse words are nothing...
Hysterical
I am willing to place a bet that the number is actually between 80% and 90%!
I’ve always felt that in order to get your point across you have to speak so that the other person understands you.
I heard one of the talking heads say there was no way to know if it was true. I know arrest reports have a race description on them.
This was a voicemail and the governor was well aware of that.
Real easy: have a web page with the mug shots of the last 100 people arrested for robbery. Let people see for themselves.
LePage apologized for the voicemail in a statement on Friday, but justified his reaction saying the label of racist is "the absolute worst, most vile thing you can call a person."
Well in his defense I’m sure he meant the worst thing according to the media.
He could take a lesson from Trump and just point out how it’s a lie. Who cares how charged the accusation is, if it is simply empty.
“Racist” has become a left-wing synonym for “conservative” or “Republican”.
Since they usually think those of darker hue aren’t smart enough to compete on a level playing field (racial preferences), I guess you can play by their rules and call them “bigot” right back, with more accuracy.
Sarah shoots DWS in the face. Might make her look better.
Of course the BLM set will look right at you and say that “black racism” is impossible. They are Too Oppressed For That To Be The Case.
