Do you remember the name Brendan Eich?
If you're internet savvy, you know him as the creator of JavaScript, the ubiquitous programming language, and you know him as the co-founder of Mozilla, which developed the Firefox browser. That makes him somewhat of a tech legend, and his legend will only increase with the release of his new browser, called Brave, which includes some cutting-edge enhancements. (More on that shortly.)
You'll also remember his name if you've been following the culture wars, since Eich was forced to resign as the CEO of Mozilla in 2014 because he committed the cardinal sin of donating $1,000 to California's Proposition 8 in 2008. (Proposition 8 was the pro-family bill that limited marriage to the union of one man and one woman.)
How dare he act in such an unenlightened way! said his enlightened employees at Mozilla. How dare he be so small-minded and exclusivistic! said his broad-minded and inclusivistic peers. (Sarcasm fully intended.) Surely a man like this is not worthy to be among us at Mozilla.
In reality, in all his years at Mozilla, no one had ever accused him of acting in a bigoted way, and the influential gay journalist Andrew Sullivan commented that "there is not a scintilla of evidence that he has ever discriminated against a single gay person at Mozilla" and so the whole episode "should disgust anyone interested in a tolerant and diverse society."

[[I did a little research and the Android version which I am using is very different than the Windows version, which I assume is what you are using. No Bars, no bookmarks, no file saving, no tabs in Android version. Bummer!]]
Eww that is a bummer .
Yes I am running the version that works on Window 7 or higher.
Hoping the version for the iphone is better , installing it right now.

Well the iphone version has bubbles too .
It does run a lot better than Safari though , way faster.
Yes the Android version runs plenty fast but so does Opera and Palemoon on this Android tablet (octa core cpu’s and 3 gb ram.). I will keep checking for updates on Brave as i would like to support such a man and product, to see if they ever add bookmark and multi tabs features.
Placemark.
Using it now. Faster than Edge. But, will take some gettin’ used to, if I continue to use it.
For later download. Thanks

Is there a link to get these emoticons?
I am having the same problem. Have Win 7. Brave takes a long time to load. Then it takes a long time for it to bring up a website. It is very, very slow for me.
There must be something about OUR systems that is causing it. ANYONE have any INFO on this problem ?????

I am running Microsoft Security Essentials , some of the other antivirus programs slow things down .
What antivirus program are you running ?
The only thing I did to my Windows 7 laptop that is out of the ordinary is I removed that Get Windows Pop UP and I stripped all the Windows 10 files from this laptop.
I just tried to access Brave a few minutes ago...same problem. I had NetZero dial-up years ago, and it was faster than this.
Anyone know how to import my bookmarks into the Brave browser?
Bravo Brendan Eich for creating Brave!
No thanks.
