Says that the US had no authority to the 1934 treaty and signs an executive order withdrawing from the treaty.
Gives Gitmo back to Cuba.

And IIRC, I believe Castro said there would be no easing of relations unless the USA agreed to give it back. And we know there has been an easing.

Obozo can close it, but he cannot give it back to Cuba without an act of Congress.

Step 1: Obama abuses his CIC powers to order the Navy to evacuate the post. They are told to leave the prisoners behind.

Step 2: Cuban forces move in and take control of the base, citing the "humanitarian" need to get to the prisoners and ensure their access to food and water.

Step 3: Cuban repatriation of the base is a fait-accompli. Congress can stamp their feet and hold their breath all they like....short of a U.S. invasion to retake the property (like THAT is gonna happen) Gitmo will be gone.

Step 4: The remaining Gitmo detainees will be given first-class tickets to fly off to wherever they want to go.

Tsk, tsk, tsk - your thinking is so old-fashioned, reminiscent of a time when the law actually meant something.

All that Obama needs to do is to order the military to redeploy all forces in Cuba to somewhere else. About 5 minutes after they leave, the Cuban Army occupies it. Now, what are we going to do about it?

Me, and perhaps Trump, will tell them to get their asses off of our property within 12 hours, and let them know in no uncertain terms that if they don’t, we’ll eject them by force.

Will things happen this way? I don’t know, I don’t have a working crystal ball. However, they easily could - don’t put ANYTHING past Obama, and don’t dare even think that the law will be an impediment to what he wants to do.

And it will be Obama’s fault because he allowed/enabled the terrorists. It is unfortunate but complacency and apathy have their costs because it allows something to happen that shouldn’t. Instead of being proactive, we will be reactive and reactive is always much worse as we learned during 9/11 and the subsequent wars.

It is the Neville Chamberlain syndrome.
