1999. I had lurked for a year. Name came from being sick of Bill Clinton. But I knew it would serve me well through my time here.

I choose my name because I used to ride a Harley...and am a Lady (well most of the time..lol) and my birthday is on the 27th of a month...so that’s how I picked “HarleyLady27”...

I'm an old, retired US Army Sergeant Major...hence...
Actually, I got tagged that way back when, because of the fact that upon my promotion to Sergeant Major, I was the youngest on active duty.
Long time ago.

I read about the Battle of Tours in college. I recall my professor commenting on Charles Martel, stating that had the Frankish army not turned back the Muslim invaders then and there, all of our history may have changed. No Christian Europe, possibly no Christendom at all - and certainly the explorers that came to the western hemisphere (if they came at all...) would have brought a vastly different culture.
One man, victorious in one battle, was *that* important. And all the French do to commemorate his life is name a fencing tournament after him. Given all that, I just thought Charles deserved a little more recognition.

ETL = Exposing The Left, because, through many years of internet and other research, it’s what I do. Discovered later that there already existed a website/person titled Exposing The Left, so I replaced it with just the initials.

I used to work in IT all the time, and my screen name is a variation of a database term.
I’m not really a nerd, or anything.

no idea...I wanted a female name...for some reason, I wanted an "e" in it...
when I first came on board back in the 90's, I had a different name...left in disgust, but read the threads, just didn't post...when I re upped I choose a new name...
I think I left in disgust because there was arguments on whether to support Dubya or not...my thought was that we support our nominee....
things haven't changed much around here....

My grandma wanted my middle name to be Louis and insisted on calling me Robert Louis when she was making some kind of point.
That morphed into Bobby Lou.
That morphed into what sounded like Bobalu and a lot of people would call me that.
Thus my FReeper name :-)
