Entering to sustained applause, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump told his Austin audience that the people of Texas are proud, theyre independent and they are free. There is no better place to deliver the message I have to deliver tonight.
Tonights message is about re-declaring our independence as a country, Trump said. We are going to declare our independence from special interests, corrupt politicians and from a rigged system that benefits only the insiders, he said.
Interrupted periodically by protesters, Trump called border security our most vital issue and voiced support for school choice and merit pay for teachers.

TEXAS is also already in the win column, so I don’t see the benefit.

Relax. It’s only for one day. He did a fundraiser earlier today in Fort Worth, and besides, it’s good for morale.
Trump Force One will be in some other state tomorrow.

I understand he wants to soften the rhetoric because of all the criticism from the media, democrats, and the GOP but.......he stands to lose some of the base with it. The base wants them gone...good, bad, doesn’t matter, illegal = gone.
Maybe he thinks if he’s just better on the issue than Hillary he’ll get their vote.
As he said, “November 8th is Independence Day”.
Time to throw off the socialist shackles.
