Facebook users are constantly being bombarded with ads, but sometimes one shows up on the screen that is so well-suited, it's as if the site has tapped into your thoughts.

'The majority of promoted topics that I see in my Facebook feed are relevant to my interests, and they're worth clicking on more often.'
However, others are not sold that Facebook's methods are completely innocent.
Peter Eckersley, the chief computer scientist at the Electronic Frontier Foundation, calls them 'the most invasive in the world.'
'Facebook's business model is to amass as much first-party and third-party data on you as possible, and slowly dole out access to it,' Eckersley said.
'If you're using Facebook, you're entrusting the company with records of everything you do. I think people have reason to be concerned about that.'

So, tell me something significant I have written about immigration, can you? Huh? lol... How about my ideas on what to do long term regarding the deteriorating situation in this country. Go ahead, type it up here.
Cracks me up.
I’ve had one FReeper dogging my azz for several years. He plays at character assassination by claiming I’m not a “real Freeper” because I don’t post any personal information about myself. He posts pictures of his family - his kids - on his page along with where he lives and other personal details. That’s fine for him but I’d never do that...knowing what people like him would do with it.
I don’t even use this screenname elsewhere.
I deleted my Facebook two weeks ago. Not going back. Even posting here is probably risky.
I believe that I know what you’re saying. I know that many Freepers value join-date as a measure of a person’s credibility - I don’t BTW. I value the quality of their opinions over any artificial criteria.
I’ve been here for a while and it may be time to turn the old Etch~a~Sketch over and give it a shake. I’ll do a refresh and still hold the same attitudes but be free to express them from a different perspective.
Good luck.
I’m sorry. I don’t mean to hurt your feelings, but it’s just not worth the effort.
You can’t hurt my feelings any more, literally. I dealt with high school teenagers in the U.S. for many years. Like I’ve told many before, come get some.
If I hurt your feelings, I am sorry. I didn’t mean to. I won’t do it any more.
I don’t do Facebook or Twitter but google does it, chrome does it, phone apps, the grocery store does it when you give them that prefered customer number it’s everywhere.
There’re out to get your wallet or put you in jail, first one, then the other.
We be doomed.
