DH got me one of these years ago - they work great.
I always had problems opening pickle and other jars - my cousin’s wife taught me a great trick (many of you probably knew it but I didn’t, I used the hold it under hot water and/or tap with a knife or on the counter). Use a bottle opener under the lid and it will pop then the lid opens easily - I suspect that is what Illary did. FWIW, I think this was stupid, but I never watch her or this show.
Do that or let your husband open it. I have yet to find a jar that I couldn’t get, although they do test you once in a while.
Sometimes I even have trouble with a pickle jar and I’m a 6’3” man. That’s why I think the whole thing was rigged. There’s no way they would risk having her fail on camera so they loosened it beforehand.
