Thee political world is all atwitter following Donald Trumps statement last Thursday in Charlotte, North Carolina that, believe it or not, he regrets having said the wrong thing in the past, particularly where it may have caused personal pain, a list which might include Heidi Cruz, Megyn Kelly, and Ghazala Khan.
I was less astonished than most, however, because I noticed a substantial and important change in Mr. Trumps campaigning more than week earlier. Although I mentioned it during my radio show, it seemed to go mostly unnoticed in the broader media, perhaps because of justifiable initial skepticism.
In Abingdon, Virginia on Wednesday, August 10, Donald Trump gave nearly an hour of remarks in a tone entirely different from what he had offered in public before. No yelling, no venomous rasping in the back of his throat, and, although he was as strong as ever in his positions on issues (several of which, most particularly trade and NAFTA, I strongly disagree with him on), the seething anger and divisiveness which had characterized so much of his campaign to date was simply gone. .....
.....While Trump had been on good behavior briefly in the past only to return to Trump being Trump mere hours later, the Abingdon speech felt different. It felt as if someone at this point I suspect it was Kellyanne Conway had gotten him to realize that the path he was on was doomed to fail and that a possible road to victory did not involve forsaking policy positions but simply abandoning a poisonous rhetorical style.
I thought to myself and said to my wife
If Trump had been doing this for the past couple of months, hed be beating Hillary right now.

No. It doesn’t help her a bit. She is still declining just as quickly as before.
Sun Tzu. Yes. He may not have read him but he feels it in his bones.
The serious, family, and fun sides...

I compare him with Ali’s “rope-a-dope”.
Yup. With his having been in the New York commercial real estate business for 40+ years, it’s most likely instinctive at this point.
Nothing’s changed. He’s always been there.
Yeah she does. Look at post number 19.
And you're right, her arms do look like hell :)
If you were buying a car and the only two cars available were the Trump and Hillary cars, what car would you buy? You go into the lot and see them. First you go over to check the Hillary car. Something is not right. Is this a new car? You haven't seen it before. There are minor scratches on the finish. You guess that's OK. Then, you open the door to look inside and it smells like a dead rat--uuuggh! You lift the hood and the smell hits you so hard you fall to the ground. I told you to grip the wheel and fasten the seat belt. I forgot to tell you to bring a barf bag. It is the car of corruption, deception and fabrication.
After managing to get back on your feet and wipe your chin, you go over to the Trump car. You look at it all over. You wouldn't want to be cheated with a car that hides a piece of junk with a nice wash and wax job. The paint job looks good--check! You check out the car further. New tires--check! You open the door and it passes the smell test--check! You look at the interior and there are no rat droppings and the upholstery looks brand new--check! There is a good radio and it sounds good--check! You start its engine and it actually ran good--check! A test drive tells you there was truth in the advertising. It was a great car--bingo! You decide to buy the Trump car even though the opposition car folks said it was a piece of junk.
Currently there are only, "TWO CARS" in America, at this time, to select from. There may be other cars on the political landscape, but they are non-starters. We may see them on the lot, but we know they soon will become stacked up in the political wrecking yards. Many are the result of wrecks and only good for parts. Most are rip-offs made on a shoe-string budget that fall apart soon after you buy them. We know to avoid them as wise car buyers. America has only two choices.
I will take my analogy further. What the Democrats have done is put a car, out of the wrecking yard, on the sales lot. What I hope, for Americans to do, is check out the car and see for yourself what a pile of junk the Hillary Car is.
This is my most poignant (i.e. pungent to the smell) conclusion from this car analogy: The Democrats are set to rip-off America using the Hillary Car and the Clinton's Foundation money to line their pockets.
The 1947 Hillary Car.
The daughter of satan must have had a recent botox facial treatment in that photo.
This photo of der Hildebeast is the quintessential lipstick on a pig. Those around her must be breathing through their mouths to avoid smelling the stench (figuratively speaking, for those who never took a literary class).
Give me a break! How disingenuous can you be? Only the the feigning fools who pretend they could not see the real Donald Trump until now fall back on this meme. The truth is, they never bothered to look or listen to the man until now. Well, better late than never for these Johnnies come lately. Welcome aboard the Trump Train.
Guys like Kaminski must be simply clueless about their own ignorance.
As they watch their peers awakening to reality, the have that red pill or blue pill choice. And, of course, the CYA thing.

Need to keep the other player(s) guessing, change the way you play and keep the opponent guessing.
D. Trump won't hold a temperament long enough for them to get a lead, a tell, before he changes it up, leaving them guessing his next move.
He has been doing this successfully all his life.
He did it to 16 other contenders, and blew their doors off.
Now it is one on one, finals, and they are both looking for weakness while waiting to pounce.
Trouble is, D Trump is not making any predictable moves.
Clinton, and the entire nationwide media, print, video and radio, have been unable to get a fix for 18 months.
It is a sight to behold, and watch the master ar work.
Smart.
You forgot political operatives and the chattering class. IMHO he is the pivot point, we won't go back to campaigns like we have been doing them, it is a whole new game post DJT. The operatives hate it, it is their bread and butter...
Do I dare make a prediction?
He doesn't go after a traditional E-GOP phone bank, direct mail old school stuff, the game has changed, people are tired of the calls and junk mail. Ditto that TV adds. Do I dare ask are they Pass-A as well?
