I have my great grandmothers oatmeal raisen Cookie called rocks. We found a similar one in an old searchlight searchlight cookbook that my mother always made. Grandma said she would start baking the cookies on Saturday morning. Fill up her eight kids and the eight cousins that lived next door then start filling cookie jars
Mom called them breakfast cookies because they had all the ingredients that we think of today in a good granola
I would fill the cookie jar and my dad and son would grab handfuls of them
Instead of being flat like a cookie they were little round mounds like rocks
The batch made up to nine dozen cookies.
Guess I’d better hunt that recipe out of the box.
Not tonight. I’m going to be sharing at church. Your prayer support is appreciated.
You have them.
Lovely story. I have you in prayers!
