This is not accurate. The media are not nitwits; they are traitors. They have been given the reins of the public airwaves and charged with the task of providing a strong and necessary counter-balance to those in elected office. They are to be the servants of the republic, just as much as those in office. What have they done? They have chosen to forsake this responsibility and instead propped up the party of their choosing, allowing them to sidestep their responsibilities in the process. They have chosen not to report when convenient, under-report when necessary and over-report when advantageous. Their conduct is as much responsible for the sad state of our republic as anything else (imagine where we would be if actual equal pressure was placed on both parties? Would we have Obamacare right now? Would Hillary have gotten away with her Benghazi behavior? etc.)
In my book, these are not nitwits; these are traitors! Nothing greater could possibly come of this election than the full discrediting of our nation's media.
Your Matrix analogy is a good one. And damn scary to contemplate. I think you are correct about the collapse as well. But it won’t be just an economic collapse. It will be the collapse of our culture, what’s left of it, too.

What other democratic candidate would be hiding like Hillary is doing? Makes no sense for a candidate not to give news conferences or be seen in public settings more. I agree she is mentally tapped, having stress breakdown and is very ill. Watch her walk. She is taking carefully planted steps like she is doing all she can not to fall over ( as If she has vertigo). You see this in assisted living homes.

The MSM still has power. I was listening to a local conservative radio talk show host (Mary something) last night and as she was arguing the politics de jure she said something like, “yeah, I know Hillary will probably win.”
And I thought, lady, where do you get your information? And then it hit me that I had a similar experience in the 2012 election. And I was the one that was wrong.
I spend so much time on internet sites that give me the REAL news that I forget just how ignorant most voters truly are, and still only know what the Walter Cronkite’s of the world tell them.
We should continuously make him offers of something absolutely worthless.....for a lot of his money.

The problem is that the story is too complicated to sell to the unwashed. "Pay for play" everyone gets.

It has to become ONE smoking gun email — or individual emails for it to be a story. Otherwise, it’s just a statistic.
