I normally would not go, but the pres, yesterday walking through the office, stopped and asked if I was going to the picnic...I was trapped. LOL!
So we went together, ran into the folks that we needed to be seen by, had great hamburgers, and departed within an hour. d:o)
This gave me time to stop at Lowes and get some of this...
When I flushed the toilet this morning the flapper sealed and the leaky noise stopped. So when I got home this afternoon I drained the tank and dried it out. After the chiropractor I sprayed the rusty bolt. A second coat will go on tomorrow afternoon, then Sunday afternoon I'll let the water back in, try the flushing and flapper ops, and see if maybe, just maybe, all the moving parts work, and the drip from the rusty bolt is sealed. What a pleasant surprise that would be....not having to shop for a new toilet and someone to install it.
And Mom has been fairly quiet this evening. Only half a dozen summons so far....
‘Bout time you had a day that went so well. Even if you did get trapped by the pres into going to the picnic. LOL! It got you out of work early and that should have made it worthwhile. :-)
Sure will be nice if the Stop Leak works! Much cheaper and a lot less hassle than having to get a new toilet.
Now to hope your mom stays settled and gives you a relaxing rest of the night. That would divine!
Home Depot and/or Lowe’s sell the bolts you need. There is no need to replace the whole toilet because of a rusty bolt.
