Amber Heard gives Johnny Depp's $7m divorce settlement to two charities
Amber Heard is to donate her $7m (£5.3m) divorce settlement from Johnny Depp to two charities that work with abused women and ill children.
Heard will give half to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) to prevent violence against women, and half to the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. The actress said she hoped to "help those less able to defend themselves".
She earlier accused Depp of striking her and throwing a mobile phone during a fight. He denied the allegations.

Could be. I think she can be devastatingly attractive, but I don’t follow her or any celebrity for that matter. It was a pretty big turn off to know she was with Depp.
Musk can have her.
“:^)
I can’t quite see it yet... maybe it’s like one of those “magic eye” paintings, I’m gonna have to stare at her for a while.
Depp must have really been out of his mind when he married this thing
Pretty girl but my that is a lot of makeup.
Ohhhh... okay.
“:^)
I think so too, but she wears it very very well.
I wouldn’t mind going out with her like that, and then waking up to her without the makeup.
She’s very pretty and could handle each situation.
She’s damaged goods for me by this point, but on general principles I’m addressing it as if not.
She is dating Elon Musk who has lots of taxpayer money.
ACLU???? There goes that half down the drain. What a waste.
Notttttttttttt guillllllllllltttttttyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!
“:^)
She is a very pretty woman. Thanks for the note.
Well she wasted half of it.
Being extremely good-looking has pitfalls. I was thinking about this with the ongoing Ryan Lochte story.
These people go through life with everyone liking them instantly. They make more money, their ideas are accepted more readily, people assume they have strengths they don’t have, etc., etc., etc.
On the other hand, people who are homely have to make an effort to be kind, charming, amusing, useful, virtuous, all that. My parents would reminisce about an old Navy friend, best man at their wedding, who was very plain, but was liked by everyone and a success in his career because of his personality (and flying skill).
For reasons unclear to me, he was known as “Patrick Henry,” like the Revolutionary War figure, even though neither his first nor his middle name was Patrick.
It’s evening makeup, for dark lighting... image was taken in bright, harsh lighting. That’s why it seems overdone.
Evening makeup is sorta drag-queenish.
That is true Arthur. You’d be surprised how many of them don’t get asked out on dates though.
The good guys are too timid, and the others are too crude.
You’d be surprised how many of them would go out with you if you just acted nice to them and showed a reasoned interest that didn’t telegraph “gotta get into her pants the first night.”
Handsome/Beauty is a lot like the wealthy in some ways. They do get some perks, and I’ve never been jealous of this. As a society, I think it’s somewhat reasoned to think the best looking and most with it will excel.
I don’t want to see beauty at the bottom, but some of the accepted beauties today, deserve to be there. I’ve never seen such trash in my life as some of the personalities today.
The Kardashians should be out picking up litter for food money, they’re such trash.
I watched their show for a few months with my last wife, and we both were sickened by their behavior.
Beauty should only get you so far. You should have talent and poise too.
Funny coming from a woman who was arrested for domestic violence against a former girlfriend.
I hadn’t heard that. Was it another public figure?
Second, if the woman didn’t need the $7 million, why did she take it to begin with?
If I were the divorce judge, I’d be tempted to call her ass on the carpet and demand she return it to Depp.
Sounds reasoned. Giving it away to charity is sort of like lighting a match to it though. She got it from Depp to “serve him right”, then simply gave it away.
That’s a whole lot of money for no other purpose than to say F U to someone.
Of course the court thought nothing of it. It’s hers after they ripped it off from the person who earned it.
Screw that noise...
