He was the choice of a majority of those that voted. I used to be critical of the son of a bitch. Then I realized that he is what the majority of those that voted wanted. T^hey got what they wanted. Let them go to hell. Do I deserve him? No. Do those that voted against him deserve him? No. But when it rains, it rains on the unjust as well as the unjust. Has he did anything that those who seen through him and voted against him did not believe he would do? No.

I’ve never understood the need for the President to visit natural disaster sites.

I agree, they shouldn't, but the rules were changed in 1992 after Hurricane Andrew. The State-Run Media used the disaster to go after Bush 43 for "not caring." It helped cost him the election.

The meme was repeated in 2005 after Katrina. Bush 45 didn't have his stuff together, and lots of people drowned, they said.

Trump learned how the game's played and showed up.

It was cool of him to actually show up.

It's called LEADERSHIP, iirc.

“Romney won Louisiana by 17 points.”

There is their problem. If they voted for Obama or it was a battleground state, he probably would have cared a little more. At least enough to make a statement on his way to the next tee.

As Republicans/Conservatives, we constantly prefer substance to show.

This is where/how Trump brings a little something to the table.

If you are a really liberal liberal and your guy is showing zero compassion for thousands of suffering citizens, you have to be thinking: WTH?

Meanwhile our guy is visiting the people in a low key way dressed up in his suit jacket and iconic campaign hat (white today) in the 90 degree heat.

Donald Trump loves the people of Louisiana and it shows. Your guy? Not so much.

I'd bet money that his golf swing is effeminate as could be. Why would I guess that?

Everything about him screams lightweight candy-a$$.

A scene similar to this in LA with Bill Clinton cost HW a lot of good will

This was genius on Trumps part. He really does care about them as people not just as voters

Bush did not want to go on the ground in LA after Katrina for that very reason. He did not want to cause disruption, to be an obstacle for the good people there to get the immediate help they needed. Yet, he was attacked vociferously, unmercifully, nonstop...it was so disgusting. Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

I love it that Trump and Pence are on the ground, while Hillary issues a tweet saying Red Cross is taking care of them (flood victims).

Especially Obama and his admin nowhere in sight. (yes I know DHS Jed Johnson said something)

How Presidential!!! BFD for all those idiots condemning Trump for his tone and such.
