Is retired four-star Gen. Colin Powell, a Republican, getting close to a presidential endorsement of his former secretary of state Hillary Rodham Clinton? Betting? Well, Sneed hears it’s a good bet to hit the “Yes” button. Slap shot: Although Powell has tried to stay out of politics and has jokingly claimed he remains a Republican “because it annoys them,” an endorsement would not be a surprise.

Powell put his UN address together himself. He went to the CIA to talk to analysts in detail and make his own best assessments to present to the UN. He may blame Bush and CHeney but that is totally unfair. Powell did what he did, based upon what seemed like the best intel assessments at the time. Ofc, all the leading intel agencies in 2002 thought that Saddam had WMDs (and he did have some, just not as many as feared).

Powell should have been KICKED OUT of the Army for his (in)actions improperly following-up the massacre at My Lai, Vietnam by American forces, when he was then G-2 to the commanding general of Americal Division, I Corps.

Powell is just a (former) closet liberal military man who accepted the advancements offered by Republican presidents. His endorsement would have little value to whomever he might give it.

And in fact, Powell is a perfect Republican, which is just one wing of the ruling class. His beliefs echo those of Romney, the Bushes, those smart people at National Review, etc.
So he goes back to his natural party, the democrats. His circle is complete.
