Julian Assange Sees 'Incredible Double Standard' In Clinton Email Case
NPR ^ | 17 Aug 2016 | Meg Anderson

Posted on 08/17/2016 9:28:15 AM PDT by Theoria

Julian Assange says if the United States government sees him as a threat to national security, it should see Hillary Clinton as one, too.

In an interview with Morning Edition's David Greene, the founder of WikiLeaks called the Department of Justice's decision not to prosecute Clinton for handling classified information on her private email server an "incredible double standard."

Assange has been living in the Ecuadorean Embassy in London for four years to avoid extradition to Sweden, where he is wanted for questioning on suspicion of rape.

In a statement last month, FBI director James Comey said the FBI "did not find clear evidence that Secretary Clinton or her colleagues intended to violate laws," but that the use of a private email server was "extremely careless." Comey advised the Justice Department that "no charges are appropriate in this case," and career prosecutors agreed.

Assange noted that, had a case proceeded, Clinton could have been prosecuted under the Espionage Act of 1917, which bans the disclosure of classified information to an unauthorized person "with intent or reason to believe that the information is to be used to the injury of the United States."

Assange said in the past courts have found that a lack of intent to harm the United States did not absolve the accused of guilt.

"There has been an interpretation saying that it doesn't matter that you didn't intend to harm the United States, but they seem to have changed the standard."

Don't let your guard down, Julian. You're not dealing with a lawful government.

Hillary has been 100% hacked by the Evil Russian Empire that the Shamestream Media has been blaming all along. It’s time for them to dump her now.

I wonder if Julian is finally waking up to what the real corrupt power structure is. Its not the Pentagon or CIA or Bush. Its the Liberal Establishment in America.

I like the fact that he is doing this on NPR -— the only news many liberals will listen to and/or believe. If this story starts bubbling from there, it may lead to some very interesting questions. Of course, they will still vote for her no matter what.

“Its not the Pentagon or CIA or Bush. Its the Liberal Establishment in America.”

These are the epitome of liberal establishment. Even a cursory look at the CIA shows it to be created, staffed by, and run for the benefit of the Ivys and the banking and business establishment.

Its wrong to see Bush, the CIA and DOD as some sort of pro American bulwark. The opposite is true.

Not every country in the world goes along with the day-to-day tyranny that most Americans have come to accept as ‘normal’

FANG & I voted for LIAR CRUZ in our early primary. NEVER
AGAIN!! We, God willing, walk barefoot over rough gravel
to the polls on Election Day and . . . .

VOTE DONALD J. TRUMP for President of the United States

Any other option looks like NO OPTION to us. President
Puddle Duck has dabbled and dibbled and squandered 8 yrs.
of opportunity to sow HARMONY & POSITIVE EFFORT. He has
instead, sowed DISCORD & WAR ON EVERY FRONT!!!

So if Biden hands over the nuclear codes with the intention of spreading world peace, no action will be taken?

“They are shielding him from a rape charge in Sweden.”

Yes, but it’s a rape charge where, even according to the complaint and the complainants, no actual rape occurred. In pretty much any other country in the world, if someone went to the police with the same set of facts, the police would dismiss it without even considering charges.

So based on facts like that, I think Ecuador rightly concluded that it was a thinly veiled political prosecution.

If the USGov did not arrange or participate in what Assange has communicated, then he should be tried for treason at the first available moment.

Problem is, the USGov can’t defend it’s participation in what Assange is releasing.

AKA: Iffin y’all didn’t do it, provide the evidence.

Are you saying that it’s treasonous to expose the treason of the government?

“They are shielding him from a rape charge in Sweden.”

You don’t really think that’s what Ecuador is doing, do you? Assange may be conveniently accused of rape in Sweden but that isn’t why Ecuador is helping him.

Assange is an Australian. He has therefore not committed treason against the USA.

Charges were fabricated in another country in order to isolate and discredit Assange because he was going to be a whistleblower... alphabet agencies do this to people that tell their secrets.

Accuse them of rape / kiddy porn etc...they probably opted for the rape charges because assange is too computer savvy to let them stick kiddy porn images on his computer..

I can’t believe NPR even covered it! Like you said, though, their listeners will still vote for HRC. None are so blind as those who will not see.
