Tuesday on CNN’s “The Lead,” Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) told a reporter that ObamaCare was “unraveling and at a rapid rate.”

McCain said, “It’s clear that Obamacare is unraveling, and at a rapid rate. We’re going to have to go back to square one. We’re going to have to go back and not only repeal, but replace and make health care available to every American.

McCain actually was one of the few Republicans that made a proposal:

There is a newer Republican proposal, which I think is better:

“Replace it with what John? Doubt you have any ideas.”

The Republicans have zero credibility on the health care issue. They’ve had the Constitutional power to defund Obamacare since January 2011. All they do is put on show votes to end it which Obama will veto if they get to his desk. The real power of Congress is the power of the purse and they don’t use it.

In addition, the issue requires real leadership which is sorely lacking in the GOP Congress. Leadership means drafting a real bill, with a real alternative, and putting it to the vote. Make Obama veto a real alternative, not a resolution with a bunch of words.

I had an argument about this issue with a lobbyist who thinks Ryan, McCain, McConnell and the rest of the GOP Congressional leaders are doing the best they can and that Trump is a dangerous demagogue. My response was, “So exactly what have they accomplished?” The response, “Well it would have been a lot worse if the Democrats had been in charge.” My response, “Least worst is never a selling proposition.”

You could have kept your plan if you asked. There is a section in the PPACA that gave you this right, which has now lapsed for all who failed to exercise it.

Whether you could have kept the plan’s premium is something I don’t know about.

“health care available to every American”

In theory it is, via clinics for mainly low-income people.

As my ‘crat neighbor with a physician assistant daughter says, people can see a practitioner for care but not get the drugs they might need.

“The Republicans have zero credibility....the power of the purse and they don’t use it.”

Actually, the Republicans won a lawsuit over out-of-pocket funding:

Actually he did do something to help Obamacare. He helped fund it all the way with our tax dollars.

You from AZ? If not, you have no idea how he presenting himself down here.

Untill you can prove that you are from AZ, you cant prove how he is running his campaign as “THEE” conservative and Kelly Ward is a hack.

I dunno if we can get Kelly over the finish line or not, but, if the old coot wins the primary, I will vote for him. Just to prove that, take a look at what the hell is running for the seat from the socialist side.

“Actually, the Republicans won a lawsuit over out-of-pocket funding:”

Why is Congress going to the courts? It is a co-equal branch. Simply cut off the funding. Simply don’t give department, or the POTUS, discretionary funding.

My comment was about his statements in this thread. Is there a problem with that?

And just about every single CONSERVATIVE has stated that he/she would repeal and replace Obamacare.

The party of dumb asses knew this was comming, yet they sat and DID NOTHING to head the problem off. So they can cry all they want because that is exactly what they wanted. Federal intervention in health care. Oh they can claim they didnt because they did not vote for it, but they knew it would pass and they could have held that piece of s%6t legislation up. The whole dam bunch are liars, theives, crooks and scum. And that includes Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and the rest.
