Soros, the Clintons, Obama, of course know what they are doing--as do others less prominent. But even those truly evil are not necessarily driven by the same motivations. The one sure way to fight them, that is effective, is the way Trump usually does so; that is focusing more on the stupidity of what they do, from a rational policy perspective, rather than simply speculating on their motives. Betrayal is betrayal, whether motivated by a belief that a new order is idealistic, or by simply a malicious intention to destroy a people's heritage.
I do not suggest that we do not explore the murky world of international intrigue. Security concerns dictate that we do. But for purposes of a political campaign, the stupidity factor in the betrayal is the more effective approach. Anything else helps the malefactors raise public doubts as to our own intentions.
Then most are useful idiots playing by the left’s rules and their twisted ideals surrounding nationalism and globalism and a future in which meaning is obscured as PC has all the answers no arguments required. I think there is more to it especially among the professional political class of which Erickson and NeverTrumpers are a part.
