The crowd was exhilarated despite the long wait, high heat, and insufficient ventilation. It was amazing by how evenly balanced the crowd was by age group. I only saw one protestor removed (she had an "'F' Trump" t-shirt) and that was three hours before he spoke. I had my eye on a number of other potential troublemakers throughout the crowd but they all got up an left halfway through his speech. There were no real disturbances during his address.
This is what I've waited a lifetime for a Republican to say. Win or lose (and I predict a big win), Mr. Trump's candidacy will permanently change the political process in our country for the better.
Wow....thanks so much for your personal report.
You witnessed history, live and in person!!
Trump has already changed the political process. For better or worse, it will never be the same.
I’m jealous, I’ve wanted to see one of his rallies, but the closest he got was Dallas, 5 hour drive and I couldn’t make it.
Thank you for your report. I’m so glad you got to attend, nothing beats seeing him in person, listening to him speak directly to the crowd. It was a great speech.
What about rest of crowd? You are very lucky, I will replay his speech again. Very strong and powerful.
Did the local West Bend residents seem to mind that Trump’s remarks seemed mostly about Milwaukee which is 40 miles away? The Dems on twitter repeatedly tweeted that this was the wrong speech for this crowd. My take is that the local West Bend residents understand.
....”Trump’s candidacy will permanently change the political process in our country for the better”.....
Indeed..and it already has....I think one of the reasons the other candidates struggled so was they simply weren’t “adapting” to that change because it was already happening. We saw that as they tried to team up, ignore, or even tried to degrade Trump....yet they changed nothing in their own campaigns despite the obvious.
Congratulations and thank you for the report!
