WWII did not end the Depression. WWII took place during the Depression. The Depression didn’t really end until late 1946, at the earliest.

WW II had the home front going 24/7, There weren’t too many unemployed people. If it wasn’t for WW II, it would be like today with the same problems for people looking for jobs. Wars as much as we hate them, tend to advance us and open doors for inventions derived from war production.
