Facing a tough re-election battle, Republican U.S. Sen. Mark Kirk has decided a better strategy is to play defense against the two major-party nominees than to discuss who he’ll write in for president.
Surrounded by volunteers, Kirk started a bus tour Sunday at Buckingham Fountain that will last about two weeks. The tour will include fundraising visits and a stop at the traditional Republican Day at the Illinois State Fair on Wednesday in Springfield.
Kirk is being challenged by two-term Democratic U.S. Rep. Tammy Duckworth, of Hoffman Estates. Kirk is viewed nationally as perhaps the most vulnerable GOP Senate incumbent, particularly in a state that traditionally votes Democratic in presidential election years.

By a GOP senator threatening to write in his single vote, using his position as a public forum, is the same as voting for Hilary. Who’s kidding who here? Cause you can bet the pay check the Libs, when it is all over, are not going to do the same. They never have.

The only republicans I have voted for in the past 25 years ran also on the conservative line. I haven’t voted for anybody on either the RAT or GOP lines.
