Hillary Clinton's campaign slammed Donald Trump for "troubling connections" to Russia after The New York Times published a report late Sunday alleging that millions in cash payments were designated for Paul Manafort by Ukrainian leaders during his time as a political consultant there.

Mannifort did nothing here, apparently/possibly someone in Ukraine potentially wanted to hire him, that’s it.

So the media has judged Mannifort guilty because of some sketchy document that alleged someone wanted to hire him and “set aside” funds for this potential future hire.

I’ve never seen anything so ridiculous in my life - Mannifort is guilty because he is competent and allegedly someone wanted to hire him in the future.

This is beyond silly and nonsensical - it’s a total jump the shark moment of bias and hate from our media.

The complaint against Manafort is that his political consulting in the Ukraine between 2004 - 2014 was to the Ukrainian president and later his party that are more closely aligned with Russia and Putin.

The United States wants to more closely align Ukraine with Europe, to keep the former Soviet republics from falling back into the orbit of Russia. (or direct control as is the case in Crimea right now)

I read some discussion about how there is now evidence that the CIA is supporting jihadis in the Philippines to weaken President Rodrigo Duterte, who Western media compares to Trump. But the support is not Abu Sayyaf, just the good jihadis.
