I have a feeling this will not escalate beyond the locals. BLM has been strangely absent this summer, when you consider all of the opportunities that would have brought them out before: the dismissal of the charges against the cops in Baltimore, the anniversary of Ferguson, the release of the dash am video of the white cops shooting the black car thief in Chicago, the RNC convention to name a few. My theory is massive race riots would only bolster support for Trump. Plus, the sherif in Milwaukee won’t put up with it.
They're probably under orders to stand down until after the election because every news story and video clip of them inflames normal citizens, hurts the democrats, and helps Trump.
The leader of BLM met with Obama recently, actually before the DNC convention. He was told to muffle it because it was hurting Shillary.
Agree BLM would get a WH spanking if they act out and cause more people to vote for the Law and Order candidate. If Trump loses they will be back to punishing whitey again.
Black Lives Matter is filled with Democrat operatives who don’t want anyone ‘rocking the boat’ so Trump wins.
They want a tamed but angry protest that blames Trump and Republicans for any bad things that are happening.
There are similar operatives who work to help the GOP Establishment like the “Oath Keepers” and “Three Percenters” who have been involved in the protest that occupied the wildlife refuge in Oregon and the FBI killing of rancher LaVoy Finicum.
They work to channel the anger and outrage over what happened into hatred of Democrats and support for Republicans in elections.
When Zero, Val Jar, and Clinton realized BLM was blowing up on them they shut them off like a light switch. It really is quite impressive when you think about it.
It sure looks like BLM was agitated by outside professionals, linked to the CPUSA and to Obama-favored operatives.
I'd bet the tradeoff was too rouse the animals and get them angry enough to get off their asses and show up to the polls, versus the effect it would have on the rest of the populace.
Two factors have probably shifted the weighting towards having BLM stand down: 1) Trump's explicit claiming of the "law and order" mantle, and 2) internal polls showing that the silent majority more or less recognizes what is going on and is dangerously sick of it. Because BLM is centrally driven rather than a true mass movement, it can be turned on and off.

The “Sheriff” does not have jurisdiction within the city of Milwaukee, the Police chief does. Step outside the city limits and your are then within the County Sheriff (Clark’s) terrority.
They weren’t absent in Portland, OR yesterday when they had a 100-person sit-in, blocking Trimet buses. I fear the MKE situation will be escalating, in spite of the evidence :-(
