Make the most of this summer because it could be your last decent one: winter is coming as the planet enters the most devastating cooling period since the 65-year Maunder Minimum of the 17th and early 18th centuries.
This is the dire forecast of Professor Valentina Zharkova, a solar physicist at Northumbria University, who has based her prediction on sun spot activity – known to be a significant driver of global climate – which is currently very low and likely to get even lower during the next three solar cycles.
She has spoken about her research and her battle to get it taken seriously by the climate establishment in an interview with the Global Warming Policy Forum. You can see it in this short film.
According to Professor Zharkova:
We will see it from 2020 to 2053, when the three next cycles will be very reduced magnetic field of the sun. Basically what happens is these two waves, they separate into the opposite hemispheres and they will not be interacting with each other, which means that resulting magnetic field will drop dramatically nearly to zero. And this will be a similar conditions like in Maunder Minimum.
What will happen to the Earth remains to be seen and predicted because nobody has developed any program or any models of terrestrial response – they are based on this period when the sun has maximum activity — when the sun has these nice fluctuations, and its magnetic field [is] very strong. But we’re approaching to the stage when the magnetic field of the sun is going to be very, very small.

Global warming...food grows. Global cooling...say goodbye to the wheat belt in Canada.
Now now now... Don’t fret folks. We all know the sun has nothing to do with Earth’s climate.
Because happier, healthier and prosperous people are much harder to control!

Lack of Solar storms/ magnetism has impact on long term climate
I remember regularly putting a drop light under the hood overnight, with an Army blanket over that, to be able to start my car to go to school in the mornings. This near Fort Knox.
It’s clear Professor Zharkova hasn’t been schooled by the smartest physicist to have ever lived: Al Gore.
I know he’s smart because he made a movie about ‘truths’ that may be inconvenient. And he invented the Internet.
Take care on that lunch break ... been there, done that, the heat under the collar can get frustrating!
It was October and the Indians on a remote reservation asked their new Chief if the coming winter was going to be cold or mild.
Since he was a Chief in a modern society he had never been taught he old secrets.
When he looked at the sky he couldn’t tell what the winter was going to be like.
Nevertheless, to be on the safe side he told his tribe that the winter was indeed going to be cold and that the members of the village should collect firewood to be prepared.
But being a practical leader, after several days he got an idea. He went to the phone booth, called the National Weather Service and asked, “Is the coming winter going to be cold?”
“It looks like this winter is going to be quite cold,” the meteorologist at the weather service responded.
So the Chief went back to his people and told them to collect even more firewood in order to be prepared.
A week later he called the National Weather Service again. “Does it still look like it is going to be a very cold winter?”
“Yes,” the man at National Weather Service again replied, “it’s going to be a very cold winter.”
The Chief again went back to his people and ordered them to collect every scrap of firewood they could find.
Two weeks later the Chief called the National Weather Service again. “Are you absolutely sure that the winter is going to be very cold?”
“Absolutely,” the man replied. “It’s looking more and more like it is going to be one of the coldest winters ever.”
“How can you be so sure?” the Chief asked.
The weatherman replied, “We’re sure it’s going to be cold because the Indians are collecting firewood like crazy!”
Thanks for the ping.
Thank you for that .. a quick story, with a message.
While I have it only by second-hand information, Bastardi (weatherbell.com) is calling for a repeat of the 'Winter of 1976' , with a vengeance.
You have been a participant in the biggest interdimensional cross rip since the Tunguska blast of 1909!
“Not sure why the global-warming cranks are so dead-set against a greener, more prosperous, healthier future”
All leftist thought is of and from Satan.
This was all anticipated. Fortunately, HAARP will address the cloud cover over North America and we’ll have the rest of the world by the short hairs. :)
Damn. I just threw out my cold weather gear to make room for my global warming wardrobe.
The Irish Potato Famine was also the result of global cooling. Potatoes were more suited to cooler summers than the grain crops it replaced. People in Ireland kept from starving by switching over. But because the potatoes grown were almost always the same variety, they all were vulnerable to the same disease.
I was in 2nd grade the year it switched over. One month, we were shown a documentary that said we were entering an ice age, there would be famine and disease, and everyone would die. About 2 months later, we were shown a documentary that said we were entering a period of uncontrolled warming, there would be famine and disease, and everyone would die.
I got put on the “bad kids” list for asking about the discrepancy.
The warmer times in human history are generally a time of civilization growth. The times of cold are the times of the barbarians and civilizations retreat.
