I'm really sick of the lies. "Hauled him to safety?" Bullcrap. He may have been trespassing, he may have been a complete ass, he may be a raving looney ... but he was at no point in any particular danger. He had reasonably appropriate equipment, and it seems to have been in proper working order, and he seems to have known how to use it.
It took him 2.5 hours to get 40% of the way to the top.Darkness was only a couple of hours away.Thunderstorms,it was said, were moving in from Jersey. And he was surely tired and sore even if he was in great shape. As we learned from 9/11 a body make a hell of a noise...and makes a hell of a mess...when it falls 100,or even 30,stories.
I’m not sure that suction cups on glass just short of 58 stories up is particularly safe. Are you?
At every point ten feet off the ground, he is in grave danger.
You can wish to claim otherwise, but officials have no duty to allow him to risk his life in this manner.
It’s private property and he had no right to do what he was doing. And if one of those windows came loose, who would have been sued?
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
I’ve used those exact suction cups to move glass. That’s what they are made for.
I’ve trusted my life to them on many occasions to lift glass, not to lift myself on glass.
