1st CD, Republican: Incumbent Paul Ryan, of Janesville, and Paul Nehlen, of Williams Bay.
I absolutely have nothing on this election, so I thought I'd start a thread, and we can add to it as information comes in. Some polls have Ryan way ahead, and a few find it less certain. On the other hand, wasn't this the climate before the Cantor election? He was sitting fat dumb and happy with a big lead in the polls?
If I were a betting man, I'd have to put my money on Ryan and by all counts, he's a very popular guy up there, but then again, so is Obama.

Ryan got 236 votes from the House Republican caucus to be Speaker. There were ten votes by Republicans for other candidates.

Exactamundo. There were reports at the time that Ryan’s office wrote that bill. They tried to keep it on the down low to keep the GOP plantation voters in the dark.
Win or lose this has unmasked Ryan. He was exposed for being for job killing trade deals, for passing and funding Obamacare. He was exposed as an open border radical. Open borders hurt wages, take jobs from many Americans, and depress wages.
He looks like a guy on the take, for sale, and against American interests.
If Trump wins he will surely be out as speaker.
A very conservative friend who lives in Waukehsa County says he and his wife just voted for Ryan. They believe he represents their district well, is open to isuses and concerns (they’ve received his help on one), and that Nehlen “seems to be a nutbag”.
Ah, yes. The cognitive dissonance of “conservatives” in WI CD1. What ever your friends may think of Nehlen he would be in no position in Congress to push TPP and Amnesty through the House. Paul Ryan would do that happily. How do you “conservative” friends feel about voting for amnesty and TPP?

Sadly, Ryan has only been unmasked to the 1% of people outside the beltway paying attention. He’s still the Gold Child of the beltway. Loved by all: GOP, DEMS, MSM, etc. He is a dangerous, dangerous man because of his position of power and ability to promote his brand of faux conservatism.

I am praying for a Ryan win. I am nervous he won’t. He is an honest guy. Unlike, the Nehlan supporters who were putting up multiple signs on the polling grounds which is illegal. They didn’t even care. They were putting up signs and taking pictures of everyone they put up. They must be getting paid by someone per sign.
