1st CD, Republican: Incumbent Paul Ryan, of Janesville, and Paul Nehlen, of Williams Bay.
I absolutely have nothing on this election, so I thought I'd start a thread, and we can add to it as information comes in. Some polls have Ryan way ahead, and a few find it less certain. On the other hand, wasn't this the climate before the Cantor election? He was sitting fat dumb and happy with a big lead in the polls?
If I were a betting man, I'd have to put my money on Ryan and by all counts, he's a very popular guy up there, but then again, so is Obama.
Outside donor money.
Hilarious. And Paul Ryan’s cool $10 million in Chamber of Crony capitalist loot? Clear as the wind driven snow? Repeating this hypocritical Ryan smear just proves how hollow Paul Ryan is. He literally stands for nothing. Except what his corporate donors want, obviously.
Ryan has always been very popular in his district, even more so after he was picked for VP and then after he became Speaker. Hes a mirror image of his constituency - 90% of which are White and nearly 60% of whom work in white-collar jobs.
IOW, illegals are not raping and/or murdering their daughters yet. Just wait a bit. Paul Ryan plans to bring this “diversity” to his district. By then it will be too late of course to do anything. Thank you WI CD1 for enabling the anti-American agenda of Paul Ryan.
Sarah Palin endorsed Nehlen and her super PAC gave money. Michelle Malkin and Ann Coulter campaigned with him.
Yeah, I don’t get that. Its not like Ryan has laden CD1 with a ton of pork either. Remember this district was held by Les Aspin for 20+ years before Ryan.
For Democrats, the speaker position is not a reason to keep Ryan.
I live in the South, but once worked for a company with offices in Wisconsin and have been to Madison twenty-five or thirty times.
I used to tell some of the more sensible ones that they did not have to live the liberal convictions of all the liberal whackos they sent to Congress. 90% plus white at that time. Maybe Ryan has a district like that still and his constituents can still pretend to be great liberals and humanitarians and never have to live it day to day.
Lyin’ Ted is as “conservative” as Lyin’ Ryan
They co-authored a WSJ op-ed promoting TPP
Remind me, is it rian? ryin? ryein? riyan? rieyan? rieyun?
Well, i guess if I respected him I'd bother to get it right, now wouldn't I? Oh, well.
All of the media in WI is in the tank for the establishment. I don’t think Ryan has anything to worry about, even in the general. Ron Johnson, however...I don’t know.
What time do the polls close?
8:00 pm CST according to the League of Women Voters.

As a former WI Gov. said, “Madison is an island of insanity in a sea of reality”
Yep, and the people I got to know were in the business world, but still about half lived in the fantasy world of the left and some were pretty level headed.
Thanks for the info and your input. Being a Floridian I certainly don’t know the concerns of folks in Ryan’s district. I am of the opinion that even a DEM winning that seat would be better than Ryan! Globalist Ryan will be nothing by a thorn in Trump’s side and will do everything he can to get TPP passed and open borders remaining. In fact, Ryan wants TPP passed so badly he will probably do all he can to help Obama get it done before he leaves office.
Really? Is there a link for that Jay Weber radio show so folks could listen to the audio of the Nehlan interview. Too late now anyway since polls are closing in 45 minutes, but hard to believe Nehlan wouldn’t answer questions.
B U M P !
Guess polls close in hour and 45 min.
Ryan made Biden look like MENSA member when they debated.
Does anyone have any links for live results?
This is all i could find thus far:
