Hey, Panky. Id dis duh live tream?
I missed most of the rally. Our 27 year old horse (PB) is on health watch. We had the vet come at 2am yesterday morning. PB was dehydrated (dang high temps) and acquired a heart murmur. :-(
“HOW DID THE ENDORSEMENTS GO? WAS HE HUMBLE WAS HE UNITING IN HIS WORDS?”
The endorsements seemed half-assed; I felt that he was throwing up in his mouth a little because he was forced to say what he was saying.
He was “humble”, — and boring. Well-intentioned (maybe) people are going to force him into becoming another ho-hum, losing GOP candidate. Just my opinion.
You are welcome.
I watched last night’s rally on cspan also.
When the speech was over, did you see the crowd get up to leave? They were waving their Trump/Pence signs at the cameras. Also, Mr. Trump was surrounded by the crowd at the end.
As for the tone of the speech, and the content, I was very impressed. Candidates in the past have their standard stump speeches and they have their more serious policy speeches. The latter was what Trump gave last night.
Enjoy yourself It’s a wonderful memory
He and Pence are the only candidates who are really out there campaigning, and trying hard to win. Clinton and Kaine only have fundraisers, and “organizing events” on their schedules. I’m sure rallies will be included as they come up. But, as we’ve seen her “industrial tour” was pretty much a farce and flop, with tiny, closed and tightly controlled crowds. Even her rally in Nebraska with Buffet was pretty much a flop, they had to get all the high school students to attend to make it look like a big crowd.
Here is their schedule, just in case anyone is interested:

He usually gives substantial policy points in his rallies, the rallies are "mixed," but the policy speeches per se don't have the rally rah-rah portions.
I thought the rally was fine. it wasn't one of my favorites, but I'm a bomb-thrower, and that isn't going to work for the general election. What made an impression on me was the difference in delivery of the endorsements, compared with the delivery of the rest. Juan Williams remarked on that, asserting that the endorsements were (in my own word) "phony." He was shot down as being one who will never have a good thing to say about Trump, so no sense in trying to please Williams.
Hillary's fake bounce is going to evaporate, and it's good that the press has some justifications to hang that on: change in tone, endorsements, and so on. CNN was remarking on the "change in tone," as was FoxNews. "This is a different Trump" "The intervention seems to have worked" and similar.
Five years ago today, we sustained the greatest single loss of lives to our Special Operations Forces in American history when U.S. Army CH-47D Chinook, call sign "Extortion 17", was shot down by Taliban fighters south of Kabul, Afghanistan.
Please join us today as we take a moment to honor the memories of those 30 Americans and one Military Working Dog lost on August 6, 2011:

Safe travels! You’ll have a blast. I’ve been playing on FR too much, and if I don’t get some work done this weekend, I’ll be in deep kimchee.
Yay! When I attended a Virginia rally, I got in by being in line at least an hour before the doors opened.
I don’t think she has anything scheduled until the 15th!!!!
Anyone who’s going...PM me.Maybe we can exchange cell phone numbers, text each other on arrival, meet up and chat.I got my tickets.
If that is cancer on her tongue she may need to have some radiation or chemo treatment. BOLO for her wigs to come back
I noticed that when Trump started to criticize Hitlery about not taking questions or doing a presser, she is forced to do one (albeit in a fairly safe venue). When he criticized her for not naming Islamic terrorism, she started to do that (but not very often).
Trump needs to say every day, “where is Hitlery?” He needs to start criticizing her for not being out on the campaign trail and meeting with the people every day. She is tired and doesn’t have it in her to keep up anything like that, and if she tries, it will take its toll.
Yup. Finally a candidate who actually wants to win and is acting like it.
Have a wonderful time.
Thanks for that link.
