JANESVILLE, Wisconsin Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), a former GOP presidential candidate who won this state over current GOP nominee Donald Trump back during the primaries, is not backing House Speaker Paul Ryans re-election during his primary against Republican businessman Paul Nehlen at this point.
Cruzs team, over the course of several emails on Friday, told Breitbart News the Senator would not at this time back Ryan for re-election to the U.S. Congress. Its worth noting, though, that according to Cruzs team Ryan has not asked Cruz for his endorsement. Cruz also refused to endorse Donald Trump for president, despite a primetime speaking slot at the Republican National Convention.
Sen. Cruz likes and respects Paul Ryan, Cruz spokeswoman Catherine Frazier told Breitbart News. He considers endorsements when asked, and in this case a request wasnt made.

Word.
So how am I supposed to receive this news? Let me guess — it’s a great thing that Mr. Trump endorsed establishment globalist Paul Ryan, and Cruz’s refusal to endorse makes him...what? A typical establishment globalist hack? I’m confused.
"Lyin Ted" thinks this political stunt is going to put him back in the good graces of all the true conservatives he had conned and then stabbed repeatedly in the back.
Say "Lyin Ted"; go away and don't come back! Your "conservative" shtick no longer works. You have revealed yourself for the liberal, GOPE establishment hack that you really are. We have seen your true self on display and we will never forget it.
Re: Cruz:
“He’s dead, Jim!”
He endorsed establishment candidates? interesting
Pretty much this. Mfers.....all of them.
Sick of politics.
Dead man walking
Cruz is a political zombie
That second one, is excellent.
I think, Trump knows now, that the media will use anything they can against him, and especially now with Obama talking about his own party not for Trump, and Trump not for the party...they’ve taken this stupid issue off the table for them.
Was stupid for him to endorse anyone in a primary.
but Trump got his digs in all three of these candidates.
LOve listening to Pence. There’s something about a prepared text. I think Trump should do it more.
I think Trump called the Chris McDaniel thing fraud all along and told him to sue. Whereas Cruz was all over the place until his bag carrier Hannity fed him the talking points.
Ted, like Tim Huelskamp, don’t play well with the others. There is no negotiation, only “I’m right, you’re not just wrong, but a moron AND wrong - by the way, did I mention how utterly moronic you are?”
Good for him!
So it’s OK to not endorse Ryan, but to pass on endorsing Trump is a career killer?
