Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's lead over Republican rival Donald Trump has narrowed to less than 3 percentage points, according to a Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll released on Friday.
Polls released just at the beginning of the week found that Clinton had a larger lead, ranging from 7% in a CBS poll to as high as 9% in CNN/ORC's poll.
Friday's poll found that about 42 percent of likely voters favored Clinton, to Trump's 39 percent.
The poll, taken between July 31 and August 4 had a credibility interval of plus or minus 3 percentage points, meaning that the results suggest the race is roughly even.
Among registered voters over the same period, Clinton held a lead of five percentage points, down from eight percentage points on Monday, according to the poll.
The reasons behind the shift were unclear.
Clinton had pulled well ahead of Trump on the heels of the Democratic National Convention last week, where she became the first woman to accept the U.S. presidential nomination from a major political party.

MSM is still spouting that she's up 10 percent in national polling, tho.
You are probably right. But I think this will be the least of his worries as he has mocked the one and only true God who will give him something to think about.
My prediction: it won't take that long.
I second that. Trump has come out swinging today!
“Trump has come out swinging today!”
I thought I read someplace here that he did NOT sound tough enough today.
I’m confused.

Today: “The Republican nominee, speaking in Des Moines, Iowa, accused Clinton of being “unbalanced” and “unstable,” called her a “dangerous” and “pathological” liar”
So Hillary’s bounce disappeared and the race is tied again.
What was that again about her insurmountable advantage?
It was over the moment she was nominated...
2016 Election Analysis: Trump Will Defeat Clinton in Landslide

I appreciate when they at least provide internals. A sure sigh of a manipulation poll is no access to internals. Why would anyone trust that?

In it to win it! Go Trump! Go Nehlen!
Dem insiders are going to be panicking. Reuters/Ipsos had rigged the polls to favor Clinton by suddenly changing their polling method a week or so ago. They caught a lot of flak because it was obvious they were pumping up Clinton’s poll numbers. Now even the rigged poll is showing Trump pulling even.
Reuters is pure trash. With that said, Trump will rebound.
Surprised he didn’t say Allahuakbar...
The manipulation of these polls such as Reuters may have a small effect on the electorate, but they have a larger effect on Trump. He is a political fighter like we have not seen in modern times. He takes these polls seriously and when they show him behind they make him more determined.
Hillary is one of the nastiest persons on earth, but she does not have the energy to keep up with Trump on this campaign. Thinking of the last two elections with Romney and McCain, there were times when they both seemed to go inactive. Trump doesn’t do that. He is out there fighting and campaigning every day.
As a comedian about my age once said, “My father held down two jobs, built our house, and took care of me, and my brothers and sisters after mom died. Me, I go grocery shopping and the dry cleaners and I have to go home and take a nap.” That is like Trump compared to the rest of us... I don’t know how he does it. He has kept up an incredible pace for over a year now. I know he has billions and a lot of family support, but he is just amazing.
Hillary, finally took a couple questions from the press yesterday and lied her butt off once again. She has got all the media on her side, she holds these events that draw very few people, and she has about the same amount of enthusiasm as Jeb Bush. I don’t care what the polls are saying, Trump is going to fight all the way to the Whitehouse. The slumping polls of the last couple weeks have caused him to become more determined and more focused. They were the kick in the pants that was needed for him to bring this thing home.
How so?
