I have family visiting that damn continent right now. I wish they just stayed home.

I am not sure I would go there today even if someone paid me to do it.

My daughter wants to go either to Australia or Europe for a year of study.

There is NO way she is going to Europe.

You'd think the tourism industry would put some pressure on the politicians; it would be interesting to see some statistics on how many people are visiting Europe now compared to before.

Wave the white flag. That is what terrorist want. She has a better chance of dying in a car accident. Going to keep her from driving?

Tell her to go to Japan instead. Anything she can study in Europe (except maybe cathedrals) she can study in Japan, and it is far far safer.

Is it your life or is it her life you are trying to decide about? She should go where SHE chooses to go if she is 18 or older. She’ll learn responsibility and accountability for her actions and not to be dependent on the government to make her decisions for her. Evidently you would prefer the tourism industry make decisions concerning your life as well as hers. I value Liberty more than that.
