The version I heard this morning was that Trump mistook the plane carrying the hostages with the plane carrying the cash.

And, thus, Trump should dismiss it with, “Given the real threat of Islamist terrorism, if I were doing your job, I’d be more worried about the money we just gave the world’s #1 sponsor of terrorism. Have you been looking into that at all? You would if I were the president, right?”
Correct the media whenever possible. Dismiss them whenever necessary.
